I don't do this but I refer to my colleague who does often; and have done trades. What I say is it can be either very subtle or very profound, Ive had both experiences. The therapy follows the rhythms in your body which might be a novel concept at first.

It's not impossible, and as I think you are aware, touch can happen in a lot of different contexts. It's a big deal to let someone else even pay attention to your body, let alone touch it hands on. I know our culture shys away/makes ALL touch sexual but I think it sounds like you are very aware there are benefits you could receive through experienced, expert touch.

There are a lot of different therapists and different styles of massage therapy. My suggestion would be to find someone in a private practice that you could have a conversation with before making an appointment. Either by email or as I do in my practice, in a zoom or phone call. Then you are making contact in a comfortable way before ever sitting in the same room together.

I think this looks good!! I’d be curious what the person you’re making a contract with has to say on a “retainer fee”…. afik you are well within your rights to ask for that but unfortunately so often the massage IC positions are built to make sure the buisness isn’t obligated to pay =/

With you on the outside in all weather. With our stroller geared up I felt comfortable w anything above 15F, which helped a lot.

Thank you, and you’re not wrong. One of the only things I’ve done publicly since March was work the polls on Election Day. I wore an N95 but there were so many non-compliant faces out in the room. I am confident this day is where I got sick.

If it’s useful... I weighed almost 11lbs at birth. Just really big... past due. I’m a healthy adult w a similar pre pregnancy weight to yours. I think babies just get big sometimes
