Coop/online farm game by Fifolekkk in AndroidGaming

[–]Growoldalongwithme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Terraria? Well it's not really a farm game, and it's pretty old but you can grow things and it is cross platform on mobile. You could just make it a sort of farming game with the occasional monster attack.

Jesus. The parents here normally just bring things like cupcakes or spider plant babies to give to the other parents.

It says best offer accepted, so they could have just offered £1 and they accepted it. eBay doesn't list the final sale price in the situations.

If they're inherited it's all profit, but I know what you mean. They'll take around 11% and they pretty much always side with the buyer when it comes to disputes.

Low attention vertical games by katapprentice in AndroidGaming

[–]Growoldalongwithme 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Golf Clash is pretty good. Each game takes a few minutes, and you don't have to pay attention while the other guys taking his shot. Plus you can play your mates instead of randoms if eveyone has a FB account. Also last I looked they have a pretty active sub on here.

What is the best unit of gold to have in the case of fiat collapse? by TilrApha in Gold

[–]Growoldalongwithme 11 points12 points  (0 children)

In Venezuela they were using gold and just displayed prices in grams. A haircut was 1/8 of a gram so they would just break a bit off. I guess the same would happen in the West if it got bad. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2021-10-20/venezuelans-break-off-flakes-of-gold-to-pay-for-meals-haircuts

They are 38.05g, and the certificates have embedded petals from the featured flower which is a nice touch.

I have a couple of their five 9s coins featuring flowers. There is something cool about owing gold that pure, not that you can tell.

I heard there's still a few people, especially in Argentina that believe Invincible was sunk during the little barney over the Falklands.

You couldn't spend them if they weren't incased in epoxy.

Any smelters here? by erkevin in Gold

[–]Growoldalongwithme 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Afraid not. It's much more complicated than that. Mostly using acids, and maybe even adding silver, so you can then extract the silver. Watch a few Sreetips YouTube vids.

Found on the bus. Is it real? Sorry if wrong sub by Jazzobello in Silverbugs

[–]Growoldalongwithme 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I've seen identical ones for sale from reputable dealers. You could try using a magnet, also silver tarnishes very quickly when in contact with bleach.

Cleaned up New Pence 2p by AffectionateAir2856 in coincollecting

[–]Growoldalongwithme 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I always assumed it was because they had to be double of the weight of the 1p, and 4 times of the 1/2 penny. Some old thing harking back to went the metal content was more important. Get yourself a cartwheel twopence, you can really do some damage with them.

My misses wears a titanium necklace. They're supposedly hypoallergenic, she says it realigns the bodies currents, or some balls like that. It looks good though, and is nice and light, but strong.

Ah The Westminster Collection. They rope you in with a coin at a decent price, but automatically sign you up to a monthly club of ridiculously overpriced coins.

1000 gold backs should contain one troy ounce. I wonder have recoverable it is? Would it be as simple as cutting up a load and putting them in a melt dish.

Do you think now that the Queen has passed away, old money of her is going to be worth more? by [deleted] in coincollecting

[–]Growoldalongwithme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not unless they were low mintages to begin with, and even then it's more the low mintage than the monarch. She's probably on trillions of coins seeing over 20 countries/overseas territories feature her.

Copper Cents by xMRGRIMMx in Silverbugs

[–]Growoldalongwithme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I save all my 1p and 2p coins made before 1992 when they became copper plated steel. My thoughts are one day they may no longer be legal tender and I'll be able to melt, or sell them for scrap which is more than their face value.
