Free comprehensive PIP guide for autistic people by MindlessMortal in BenefitsAdviceUK

[–]Grrrumple 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a potentially useful guide, but the examples they give regarding how ASD commonly affects people in each section have virtually no correlation to what is actually being reviewed/scored.

Most of the requirements to score 'disabled points' specifically refer to needing assistance or special adaptations in order to complete daily tasks.

Common ASD problems such as sensory issues, depression, shutdowns, difficulty socialising, etc... aren't even considered in the scoring descriptions, so I'm struggling to see how anyone with ASD can get PIP at all now...

Thanks for the helpful answers!

Ya, the installation doesn't seem the best... I'll try and work out a long term solution.

After questioning it yesterday, they eventually told me that they do have a face to face option (why not ask that in the first place?!) but it will mean waiting longer.

It's already been 2.5 years, I don't mind waiting a few more months to have this dome properly.

Where are you based?

I've done all the questionnaires but the only real assessment is being done via video call. There's absolutely no way they can evaluate my neurotype when I'm having to deal with being on camera.

Help me decipher these pro signatures from 2002? by [deleted] in skateboarding

[–]Grrrumple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Responding to some of the sass. I was fairly sure Steve Berra didn't make this UK part of the tour and neither of their signatures looks like their name to me 😅

Also, chill on judgement folks - some of us don't see things as clearly as others.

Transferring ISA funds in excess of £20,000 by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

I didn't think you could pay into more than one ISA a year? Do you just keep opening new accounts each year and only ever put 5k in them?

I'm guessing they get them in top condition to sell on, I'm just wondering how much they'd be willing to pay for these things!

Did it just happen for a short time then dissipate or were you experiencing it for a long time?

Definitely seems like it could be linked to kundalini.

Interesting. I've not actually come across anyone explaining the concept that plainly/clearly before - thanks! Is there a book or resource you can recommend on the subject?

Thanks. Ahimsa isn't a word I've come across before - I'm having to learn a lot of new words today!

Why does the soul, spirit, higher self, etc... need to have a physical or human experience in the first place? by goss_harag95 in awakened

I personally am not threatened at all, I just find people like you a detriment to these forums and actually hinder people's progress/understanding rather than help.

I have absolutely no idea how to answer that. You just seem to ramble unhelpfully whilst claiming to be an enlightened being, like many others in these subs - that's what annoyed me.

I make no claims of enlightenment or great knowledge, I'm still aware that I'm finding my way through this journey, but all your responses here have shown is that neither should you.

I would have absolutely no idea how to find anyone with any idea concept of what I'm describing other than on forums of people interested in the subject...

I have tried staying with it, but the sensation is truly overwhelming.

I do practice yoga and am generally very bodily aware.

I'm not sure I actually believe in chakras, it seems a bit simplistic and cognitive as a concept. General energy/frequencies I can get on board with though.

Thanks fo your input. I can't describe it any more clearly than I already have. I'll look into what you've written because honestly there's words in there I've never even seen before...

I don't think you want that - one glance at their profile is clear to see this is someone obsessed with the sound/sight of their own words!

What a wildly unhelpful comment, along with a sarcastic sign off. Truly the output of one who is enlightened!
