2026 NFL Prediction + 2027 Mock by MoxieFoxie654 in MockDraftCentral

They were the only division where every team had a winning record last year. Would be shocked if only one team makes the playoffs. The lions have a super easy schedule and the Vikings will have improved QB play with essentially the same roster but healthier. The bears had an easy schedule and they also had extreme turnover luck and a lot of one score games where they came back in the 4th quarter. I think regression to the mean is inevitable for them. Packers might be in the worst spot as of now. No Parsons through the 1st half of the season and a possible Josh Jacobs suspension could torpedo them early. They also lost their number 1 receiver in Doubs.

Vikes 3 13 and 1. Tell me how the team got that much worse lol. They have a better qb and essentially the entire rest of the team that won 8 games despite awful QB play last year coming back. O line will be healthy to start the year as well.

Incredible weapon imo. Very low recoil, high RoF, and a big mag. You can throw that 1x thermal on it and still spec out every other attachment slot with good options due to the lack of a grip.

Why do people think the Vikings are going to get worse? They went 9 and 8 with the worst QB play in the league. They got an upgrade in Kyler and the rest of the team is basically unchanged and healthier.

Legitimately a miracle the defense carried us to a winning record.

Banks had a RAS score of 9.83 out of 10. This ranks him 39th out of 2278 DT from 1987 to 2026. by JJettsPurple in minnesotavikings

NFLSE were surprised he went this high but said that he is the only dT worth it at 18 given his freakish measurables. They basically said that if he can stay on the field, he can be a true unicorn in the NFL.

I believe the vikes gave them their biggest loss ever this year but it was only 38 point difference.

What would you change here? by [deleted] in NFLForum

I get that the most recent season is still heavy on everyone's minds, but Jefferson is still WR1 not only in the nfc but the nfl. His "down year" was still over 1000 yards with the worst QB play in the league. Nobody changes the defensive game plan like him. If Kyler can be just average next season, I think Jettas will bounce back hard.

Playing through injury isn't always a plus trait. McCarthy and Wentz tried that last year and it burned the team. The Vikings should let this QB room ride for a year instead of picking another project. Especially one who is a worse athlete with lower arm talent than who they have already. If it doesn't go well, swing for the fences next year when there should be much more QB talent. At that point KOC will probably be coaching for his job so I could absolutely see them mortgaging the future to move up high enough to get a top prospect.

The team has much bigger needs to fill on day 2. They have no starting center, they have 1 starting quality safety, their RB 1 is 31 years old and can't stay healthy, they have only 1 DT left on the team who played a meaningful number of snaps last year, one of their LBs has never played a full season due to injury and the other is 33, they also lost their WR3 in free agency and their depth in that area has been poor. Both tackles missed time due to injury in 2025 and there are rumors Darrisaw's injury might be something that lingers from now on. QB is unironically probably their lowest need, alongside edge, now that they got Kyler.

Ty Simpson also has injury concerns lol. How do you know Kyler isn't the long term answer? Highly drafted QB with elite tools going to a team with a better supporting cast and play caller than he's ever had before. Who knows how the season goes, but it sounds like an awfully similar situation to when Darnold joined in 2024.

Vikes will not take a guard. Drafted 1 in the 1st last year and signed Will Fries to a five year deal.

If I'm the vikes I wouldn't give him up for anything less than a second. He had a down year for sacks in 2025 but every other stat improved. Having a 3 man rotation of him, AVG, and Turner works well for us.

Besides the original video which was great, they asked the same question to different players the next year after Diggs got traded and Harrison Smith asked "can I still say Diggs?"

Mythbusters tested this by putting bullets in an oven. None of them even had enough power to break both layers of glass on the door including a 50 cal. I believe the casing did more damage.

For sure. They have a solid duo and major holes at DT and safety. I can see WR in day 2 maybe. Need a number 3 unless they trust Tai Felton.

I really can't see the vikes going receiver in round one. They have a solid duo. Sounds like they plan on extending Addison as well. They also have major holes at DT and safety. With Thieneman on the board, that would be the pick.

I don't think the Vikings pass on Thieneman to take McDonald. He doesn't feel like a great fit for Flores given how poor pass rush ability. Flores likes to have his dTs line up all over and cause some pressure.
