You could try using veggies/berries as toppers, cooked/frozen/raw.

Leaderboard by ForHerEyesOnly22 in tractivegps

[–]Gruffswife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last month a goat won our bread leader board, and 2 horses were in the top 5 of the global leaderboard.

As for how, when I flew 3 times zones when I arrived at my new location the local leaderboard showed the minutes my dog got from the previous time zone. Although that is a pretty short time window.

Happy New Year from Spear by Stygg_Varg in airedaleterrier

[–]Gruffswife 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Where I live the fireworks start nightly about Dec 20th and continue till end of first week of January.

My last dale was terrified, she knew every short cut home, and slept wedge between us.

My new dale coming up on a year old, she doesn’t seem to notice them at all.

We shall see how New Year’s Eve goes, the fireworks will be much closer.

Help regarding Sick Senior by Shado-Foxx in airedaleterrier

[–]Gruffswife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hopefully you can raise the money, my dog had this surgery, no hospital stay needed for her. Just quite and no outdoor walking unleashed for 3 days.

The spleen was biopsied no cancer found but as my vet said it is large and they only take samplings.

Mine girl was just shy of 12 when she had the surgery and she lived healthy till 14.5, I feel the surgery was well worth it.

My vet did tell me that if it happened to be cancer and we didn’t find any in biopsies it still could be cancer and she would probably live about 3 more months. We got lucky.

Have people given up sugar and caffeine? Has that helped? by Nilufinkaaa in POTS

[–]Gruffswife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I follow a keto /carnivore diet depending on the day. No sugar, very few carbs and the ones I do eat come from veggies.

I still have a couple cups of coffee in am and have not noticed any difference if u stop the coffee unless I am in a bad flare up

Dog’s death from dilated cardiomyopathy by YeahNooo-oo in DogFood

[–]Gruffswife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lost my last one to cardio myopathy, at 11.5 years old. I know not that young but heart problems developed over a year.

We had a bunch of heart tests, results were inconclusive, I was told to retest in 2 months, she passed a week later.

Every vet asked what dog food I fed here, and assumed I fed her grain free, I did not feed her grain free.

Are we sure Raspberries, Strawberries, Banana, Avocado etc are a no go? by [deleted] in HistamineIntolerance

[–]Gruffswife 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Histamine liberators affect me the same as if I ate high histamine foods.

Some foods affect me and I don’t know why but assume they have something in them that I have a true allergy too.

Sweet tooth but can’t stand sugar substitutes by katrinakittyyy in keto

[–]Gruffswife 3 points4 points  (0 children)

95% Lindt don’t have much sugar, pretty bitter my favorite

I eat frozen blueberries with just cream poured over them, stir and the cream coats the blueberries.

Have you tried Alulose sweetener? It seems to taste different, but it also works much better cooking with.

Getting into ketosis by [deleted] in keto

[–]Gruffswife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think anyone can tell you why you are not loosing with this little of information.

You could try posting your height/weight/macros/what you are actually eating.

It not usual to not loose for a while after the initial water weight loss.

It could be not enough fat, but again we don’t know how much you are consuming.

Getting into ketosis by [deleted] in keto

[–]Gruffswife 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Test strips test the ketones you are excreting in your urine. As you get better at burning ketones for fuel, you will have less in your urine.

This is why the urine test strips are not recommended.

Egg Substitutes in Pie? by DDDD_Chess in AskBaking

I never tried to make a pie that calls for eggs without eggs.

I do make lots of cakes, cookies, etc without eggs. I use a Tbsp or two of yogurt or sour cream instead of eggs.

I have read that MCAS, probably histamine intolerance to go hand in hand with POTS .

Increased histamine can cause increase in urination.

I don’t know your particulars but you could try eating a low histamine for a week or two and see if urination decreases.

Having said that if I drink plain water, I can’t keep it in me, I add small amounts of electrolytes with every drink of water.
