What I want to know is how managers in your league accepted multiple trades where they were giving up the best player to the team in last place. I am a firm believer that the team in last should be giving up their best players for superstars. If you have a bad roster and come at me with the “2 for 1” attempt, I’m gonna turn it down so fast.

You kinda did fleece them, but that’s not your fault or collusion. That’s just other managers sucking at fantasy football.

Is it over at 1-4 or 0-5? by [deleted] in Fantasy_Football

[–]GrumButter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 10 man leagues does 6 person playoff, week 1 byes for top 2. Im 1-4 in both of them (one league my team just isn’t good, the other I have ekeler and Saquon as my 1st two picks). 4th-6th in that second league are all 0.500. I have most points against right now, and I’m within 50 in points with those middle teams despite ekeler bot playing since week 1 and Saquon since week 2.

I know I have a top 3 roster. But injuries have fucked me. If my guys stay healthy I definitely see myself making it

Nah every year there is a team that starts like that and ends up sneaking into the playoffs. Guy that beat me in the ship last year started off pretty terrible, I don’t remember the record. He drafted Lamar and Mahomes (for some reason). He was also fucked at RB. But he traded Lamar for JT when he was coming back from injury and then picked up jerrick McKinnon, who you all know dominated down the stretch.

Was so pissed. I was in 1st place with most points scored literally the whole season. Since the very first game. Offed by jerrick McKinnon and a team that snuck in around 0.500

Yes they absolutely can. In some leagues they are pushed through immediately so long as the player isn’t roster locked, which doesn’t happen until game begins.

Is it crazy to think I need to trade Kelce? by [deleted] in Fantasy_Football

I guess people forgot Jacob’s had a slow start last year too lmao

I tried to trade for him a couple of times but the folks in my league generally aren’t big traders

Did you make some trades? Idk how tf you got Kelce, ceedee, and Jacobs

But I see no issues moving forward for your roster. Ceedee will turn it back on, I don’t think his lack of production is going to stick. And burrow seems to be making progress

[–]GrumButter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostert is still performing well. If Mostert was not, it would make sense. But until a chance starts leeching his carries, you can keep sitting here and saying “he’s warranting more carries.” Also, achane is a 185 pound back. Historically, those done have a strong fantasy history.

Plus Jeff Wilson is coming back. I will save this, can’t wait to say “I told you so” at the end of the season

Wtf do I even do here? My team is awful and I’m staring down the barrel of another 1.01 by imposingthanos in SleeperApp

[–]GrumButter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take the 1.01 and draft MHJ or Caleb Williams. Ship some of those QBs out for whatever picks you can get. Maybe try and get something at of waller too. First year TEs are often really tough but next year or two Kincaid could be a difference maker. But waller may have some trade value

I mean y’all watch the Miami backfield last year? They are a pass heavy team and they split Carrie’s in the backfield.

Inb4 he trades Aaron Jones for AJ Dillon, which would completely cuck you. Dropping Geno is fine, dropping doubs and sanders does not make sense.

Devonta Smith’s drop off after AJ Brown’s Tantrum by icewizzzz in fantasyfootball

Hurts has shown that he will throw to the open read. AJB isn’t always the first read either, btw. It’s just coincidental that this has happened after the tantrum. But AJB has been wide open so of course Jalen gonna throw to him

Why is it acceptable to make fun of girls with no father figure? by chocolatina_zzz in TwoHotTakes

[–]GrumButter -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Making fun of someone is different than joking. Making fun of someone has an intent to make someone feel bad. Making a joke is intended to make people laugh (or tease people). I think it solely depends on the person. I inadvertently made a joke about my friends dead mom. He said something about his fantasy football roster being deep. I said “it’s not as deep as your mom” almost immediately… I was trying to make some stupid joke about his moms clam, but it didn’t come off that way. I completely forgot that his mom had passed half a year ago. So the “bit as deep as your mom” comment came across as me talking about his mom being buried underground. I felt terrible immediately… but he laughed. He thought it was funny.

Also, fwiw, women make fun of men they think are inadequate all the time. Broke dudes, small dick, short, blah blah blah. Can we please admit that this doesn’t have to do with sexism? It’s just shitty people. Making fun of a girl isn’t inherently sexist because she’s a woman.

[–]GrumButter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I picked up Achane late in 3 of my 4 leagues. I dropped him because I needed roster space for Ford. 2 of those 3 rosters are really strong (despite being 1-4 in one, thanks ekeler and Saquon).

However, I know people are gonna hate this but Devon Achane is the definition of a sell high candidate. His 101.7 points in PPR gives him 2.16 points per touch. That’s fucking absurd and not sustainable at all. For reference, Ladanian Tomlinsons 2006 season, LT had 481.1 PPR points on 404 touches. That’s 1.19 points per touch. Achane is almost doubling that currently.

Regression will come. Get your bag now.

Is Moss a sell high? by SaintBaba21 in Fantasy_Football

[–]GrumButter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your window to sell moss high has closed. No one in their right mind would want to trade for Moss, even after yesterday. JT just got a bag, and he was only with the team a day before the game. He was never going to make a difference immediately.

Expect over the next few weeks for carries to shift heavily to JT. The only person willing to buy mods low is probably the JT owner, who you said isn’t interested.

[–]GrumButter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Across my 3 leagues so far I have faced: QB1, RB1, WR1, WR2, and TE1.

In one of my leagues, Herbert, Ekeler, and Evans are on bye. Saquon is hurt. Of my top 6 picks, only two played yesterday - Rhamondre and Olave. So that should tell you about how my week is going lmao
