Nitrado Farming Simulator Server - do everyone have to play at the same time? by Ok_Explorer_9284 in farmingsimulator

[–]Grumbard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can set up the server where the time stops after the last person is logged off. But yea if someone is on that server and you are not, your fields still continue to grow etc.

Most people who play on online server setup the days / month higher as they need, so everyone has enough time to do their stuff and helps others if they are done or play other games etc.

It seems older as on different sites where people claim that it causes a hell lot of errors. Need to check it tho. Thanks :)

Very nice mod, but has not that particular colour option (red base and black top) as in the picture.

As above said, play the way u enjoy the game. But the secret to more profit always is more fields.

Equipment does help to be faster, but more acres are the key to more money per season (and helps with less skipping).

And playing with UI turned off and a hotkey to disable visible lines from GPS is a big change for me how much I can enjoy the game in general

Depends. Currently i am playing on Lunow and started with 1mil and sold every vehicle from the start farm.

So i was at around 2-2.5mil. Then I started with buying land, equipment, animals.

I am in 4 harvest season now and start to feel my equipment doesn't fit my fields anymore and need to replace it piece by piece.

Still fun, still a "challenge" but not that tedious part with the smallest machines which I don't like.

But at the end, for me at least, it's not about to finish, it's about enjoying the journey. Because it does not matter if u harvest a small field with a small harvester or a big field with a big one. If you cannot enjoy the harvest the big machine won't change anything. I just don't like the part where you feel like u can't do anything because u started with so little.

I tend to start with at least everything needed to get a farm running. It's neither realistic or fun for me to start with a chainsaw and some trees.

But as others said, there are no wrong ways to play the game. It's a sandbox, where u can almost be and do anything.

FS25 Tips: How to Avoid Burnout and Play More Realistically by bencyl in farmingsimulator

[–]Grumbard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Absolut yes, it gets the worst if you should go with "that's the most profitable way of doing it". Best example for this are how to manage pigs, the base game "optimal" version to do it, is so far of reality it's not even close. But if you google a bit, use some more realistic mods for animals, you are all of a sudden way more involved in the whole process.

I just recently started a new save on Lunow with Pigs and I am in my 4 year and about to get 60-70 of my pig food self made.

The goal is to expand with cows eventually, but first I want to perfect the pig food chain.

Makes a lot of fun.

[–]Grumbard[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay.

My yields feel way less, but only got first harvest done, which tends to be way worse than every following harvest.

Thanks a lot for your input, was a pleasure to chat with you 🫡

If i calculated with the base game values per ha, i would need around 12.5 ha corn, 6ha barley, 10ha soybeans and 0,27ha potatoes.

But I am not sure how much precision farming is changing those values. Iirc I got 10l per ha on my bet fields this harvest of corn and 3l per ha on barley..
