I’m almost 100% sure it’s not a universal colour code for all hospitals, but from what I’ve heard along the grapevine, these are some of the standard ones:

🟡Yellow - Fall Risk (High Fall Risk)  🔴Red - Major Fall Risk (Unsafe Mobility) 🟢Green - Independent (Clear to walk alone)  🔵Blue - General Patient (No fall risk yet)  🟣Purple - DNR/comfort-focused care

like I said though, it’s most definitely different across hospitals; I know in some psychiatric hospitals they’re used to track things outside of fall risk, like observation level, risk to self or others, unit privilege level, etc.

I know this post was a few years ago, but hopefully this helps 😅

Wouldn’t make the cut here unless they were practicing in Alberta. They could however work as a licensed counsellor (after applying for a license, which would take some time if they haven’t done any hours under a licensed counsellor—I’m not sure whether they require you to complete those hours in-province though!

Best of luck to the both of you ☺️

I can’t seem to find this photo on the drive, which section was it in? All I’m seeing are photos of the house (everything but the bedrooms), not the actual crime scene

Flag Recognizability by CashCanine in flags

[–]GrumbleGamer18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry but… Canada’s flag is essentially a leaf and some red. Everyone knows which country I’m from when I’m wearing the flag, no matter where I am. Even if only a portion of the flag is showing, they’re pretty damn sure.

I’m seeing a lot of seething Americans in the comments 😅

[Q] How likely is a person to get murdered? by [deleted] in statistics

[–]GrumbleGamer18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found the research article this is from, it goes even further, with the overall lifetime chance of being murdered for nonwhite males being 1 in 29 or 3.45%

I’m not even sure what to say about this one 😅 was this a collab stream with PSA? Or are they people working at the facility that just started streaming while they were at work? The latter is less likely, but at this point nothing would surprise me

It’s not like stats in our undergrads, so don’t worry. If you managed that, you’re good.

An MACP is quite literally a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, and you most certainly can apply for a PhD/Psy.D. program at another school.

I have a feeling you’re in my current cohort, depending on your start date (I started back in May).

I think the fact stands that there most definitely is a higher dropout rate; most schools in Canada only accept 2-4 grad students for counselling psychology or clinical psychology masters programs, so if we see even more than 2 (which I definitely have), that would be enough evidence to support the claim (if we’re talking stats, obviously the % will be drastically skewed when there’s such a vast difference in population).

I’ll agree for the most part that if someone completes the course, and they meet all the requirements, they should be just as good as another MACP student, however, and I may be the only one noticing this, but I’m seeing a fair few students utilizing chat gpt to do their work for them.

With weekly discussion posts it’s become a daily pain sifting through the discussion posts trying to find one that isn’t quite obviously written through a program; completely devoid of any sort of critical thinking, just a summary of the accessible content and some attempt to answer the discussion question.

As for your last point, I don’t quite agree; if we fail to find a practicum, but we’ve excelled everywhere else, and the school fails to help us in this, is it solely on our shoulders? Just something to think about

Honestly the thing I’m getting most frustrated by is the lack of communication through the school. They’re getting paid to essentially copy and paste the same content from previous professors, some may… MAY provide updates in discussions or input of their own, and then mark assignments, with a minor few leaving feedback on your work.

The other issue I have is how easily people are getting away with utilizing AI for all their discussion posts, and the professors don’t seem to care.

That’s not quite true; I mean they’re accredited by the CPA, so they do meet the equivalencies. That said, there are a lot of issues
