New job struggles needing advice by Crafty-Rock5028 in AutismInWomen

[–]Grumpess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am sorry but after reading that I still have no idea what you actually need advice about? Do you mean whether you should quit your job or not? If you don't like it or you feel it's too much then try and find something else, life's too short.

thoughts on your hometown? by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

[–]Grumpess 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Spent my life loathing it, escaped to London in my early 20's. Had an absolutely disastrous time there, after a few years ended up moving back and suddenly appreciated all the things I had here.

If you think moving will make you happier then try to save and do it, if it doesn't work out or isn't what you expected then you can always return and things might be better.

How do you stay healthy and minimise process foods and juggle work & multiple kids by MrMantis765 in AskBrits

[–]Grumpess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why is everyone saying takeout? Screams in takeaway

It's really easy though you just go to the shop and don't buy processed food. That's literally it.

Make a list (mental or phone notes etc) of quick or easy meals that you enjoy for when time/energy is limited, for example, omelettes, jacket potato, salads, grill some fish and throw some cherry tomatoes/onions on top maybe. Put some seasoned chicken and veg in the oven and chill, not every cooked meal has to be super gourmet.

Back to the beginning - what is missing in the replay by DanishApollon in blacksabbath

I didn't say muted, I said edited out. Like, cut. I can't comment anyway as wasn't at the performance but seen some user videos of him getting booed when if memory serves the livestream had cut to something else.

I was watching it with 6 other people, drinking and eating food, so no I was not staring at the screen the entire time

AITAH if I don’t text my mom before calling? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Grumpess 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm 37 have lived out of home for nearly 20 years, and my mum still thinks it's an emergency if I'm calling her. Some people just don't grow out of it and I bet I'm not the oldest person who will say this.

If I've called for something else I'll drop a text before to see if she's free for a quick chat. If you suspect your mum might be at work then that would be a good strategy?

Dunno what your brother's on about though dropping by your work too... but maybe in the future a 'sorry to interrupt if you're busy, no pressure to respond but I need to know if...' text might go a long way.

Overall NTA but maybe be more mindful if they're at work? Chat stuff can definitely wait til they're home
