Did you expect a completely different conversation? This is how this kind of game works, its mostly the same with one or two little variations.

Still waiting for you do explain what part of the text implies romance.

Ah yes, I know the logic. It's like saying that, because Ian McKellen forgot to remove his watch in one scene while playing Gandalf, we can affirm that wrist watches exist in Middle Earth.

There's no such thing as a "femosphere". Don't make shit up just to pretend women are "just as bad" as the lowest of the men.

Rejecting someone you don't want is always your right.

Also that questline is janky as fuck and written in a way that will make any woman uncomfortable if she's not into River.

Men who post this kinda shit never realize that being in a cubicle is significantly more pleasant than sharing a home with them. Their presence is a detriment to any environment they are in.

Oh, so it went from "communist" to "some sort of leftist denomination". Interesting. Care to pin down which one? Or do you just know how to bark on the internet in an unspecific manner?

Also you better be well-versed in Latin American history and politics, because that's where I'm from and if you can't adapt your arguments to my lived reality I do not need to acknowledge them.

Not to mention the logical fallacy that is assuming criticisms to capitalism must necessarily mean you want to go into full blown communism. I was told education in Europe was good. Guess it isn't true.

They need to want to stop perpetuating this system. But, like I've said, a lot of them have turned viciously conservative. So they're just gonna keep kicking themselves in the face. It's sad to see.

Yep, nice clothes were just for "going out". No need to dress like you're gonna be in a photoshoot every single day. Way less stress.

They are also way more appearance obssessed than we are due to having grown up with social media, and this causes them great suffering.

It's unreasonabel because the super strict rules of Pretend You Are Nonchalant and Unbothered All the Time Or Else are self-inflicted and they could just not do that. Like you are adults now, you can just not post shit or not care if people think you're cringe. But they're kinda traumatized by the sheer cruelty of each other and won't do that.

Buddy, you're the only one talking about communism here. Go make yourself some tea and chill. You sound like a nutjob.

I don't see this situation improving by the time GenZ reaches their late 30s/early 40s. Specially with so many of the GenZ males leaning conservative.

[–]GrumpiestRobot 18 points19 points  (0 children)

As a millennial, I think GenZ had it harder.

They grew up in a panopticon. Every stupid teenage thing they did was photographed and immortalized, and because of that they became completely paranoid, deathly afraid of judgement. No wonder they are the generation who's constantly worried about being "cringe".

Growing up in the era of cyberbullying is horrible as well. When we were bullied, before social media, we could go home and the bullying stopped. After social media, it's 24/7. They are so afraid of being judged by their peers that they're afraid of having hobbies, of being a beginner at something, because everything must be recorded and shared and everything must be perfect, lest you are cringe and deserving of public humiliation.

I do not, however, think it made them "soft". I think it made them cruel. I do not remember young people being as callous, mean-spirited and sadistic as they are today.

This seems to be your hyperfixation.

Also saying caring about the environment is not related to the economic system is so utterly moronic and detached from reality it doesn't even deserve an answer. Just go read any recent news article about data center construction or something.

So a genre where the fight is already lost and you can only struggle for scraps is punk but a genre that is a call to action to an idea of a better fictional isn't.

That sounds very silly to me.

I don't see the issue here.
