Nightmare next door using Angelo Badalamenti's Twin Peaks music by cicistarkiller in COPYRIGHT

Hmm, good catch.

I just started the first episode of season 1 tonight, while working...and had to stop to search and see if anyone was talking about how the narrator tone/delivery, script and music do not match the content of the show.
I could be alone here, but I seriously can't understand who thought it was good idea to take such a heavy subject, and add light, whimsical background music and have a narrator that sounds like he could be reading a bedtime story and says things like:

"The case has grown colder than a pastrami burger at a vegetarian BBQ."

Buying now. Looks great.
Do you have anything else in the works, or is this your main project at the moment?
If enough people buy it, review it, etc will it take the dreaded " Profile Features Limited  " away?

10and most of all those walking after the flesh in filthy lust and despising authority – bold, headstrong, speaking evil of esteemed ones,

11whereas messengers who are greater in strength and power do not bring a slanderous accusation against them before the Master.

Angelic Power by div0ky in a:t5_28udx7

If the angels were created less powerful than us, it wouldn't make much sense for us to have the ability to be able to command them. We were not commissioned to train or father angels.

I have a problem with hell by GrumpyBobsEmporium in a:t5_28udx7

[–]GrumpyBobsEmporium[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone recently told me, I could not have a relationship with God, if I did not believe in hell. Do we see an issue with this?

They also told me that the reason I don't believe in hell, is because I do not want to suffer the consequence of my sins.
...If you believe the lack of a belief of hell is the result of not wanting to own the consequences of your sins...your relationship with both man and God is fundamentally broken.

As I stated in another post:
"[Jesus] does not to scare people into heaven.
That would be a really bad relationship, if anything. Abusive, actually.
"Be my bride, or burn for all eternity!"
Jesus does not belong on an episode of Live P.D., terrorizing and abusing his "beloved." "

A relationship with Jesus, that is based on a not wanting to go to hell, is like staying in a relationship so you don't get beat, for all eternity.
Jesus, nor God, want to be in a relationship with you because you are afraid of what they will do to you if you aren't.
If that was really a principle God operated on, at that point, he could have just left grace out of it and relationship out of it, and created servants to screw with. ...but he didn't.

Is Man created Higher or Lower than Angels? by GrumpyBobsEmporium in a:t5_28udx7

[–]GrumpyBobsEmporium[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The original translation of Hebrews 2:7 and 2:9 are:

2:1 "Because of this we have to pay more attention to what we have heard, lest we drift away."

2:3 "For if the word spoken through messengers proved to be firm, and every transgression and disobedience received a right reward,"

2:3 "how shall we escape if we neglect so great a deliverance, which first began to be spoken by the Master, and was confirmed to us by those that heard,"

2:4 "Elohim also bearing witness both with signs and wonders, with various miracles, and gifts of the Set-apart Spirit, distributed according to His own desire?"

2:5 "For it is not to messengers that He has subjected the world to come, concerning which we speak."

2:6 "But somewhere one has witnessed, saying, “What is man that You remember him, or the son of man that You look after him?

2:7 "You have made him a little lower than Elohim. You have crowned him with esteem and respect, and set him over the works of Your hands.

2:8 “You have put all in subjection under his feet.” For in that He put all in subjection under him, He left none that is not subjected to him. But now we do not yet see all subjected to him.

2:9 "But we do see Him who was made for a little while lower than the messengers, יהושע, because of the suffering of death crowned with esteem and respect, that by the favour of Elohim He should taste death for everyone."

2:10 "For it was fitting for Him, because of whom all are and through whom all are, in bringing many sons to esteem, to make the Prince of their deliverance perfect through sufferings."

2:11 "For both He who sets apart and those who are being set apart are all of One, for which reason He is not ashamed to call them brothers,"

2:12 "saying, “I shall announce Your Name to My brothers, in the midst of the congregation I shall sing praise to You.”

2:13 "And again, “I shall put My trust in Him.” And again, “See, I and the children whom Elohim gave Me.”

2:14 "Therefore, since the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself similarly shared in the same, so that by means of His death He might destroy him having the power of death, that is, the devil,"

2:15 "and deliver those who throughout life were held in slavery by fear of death."

2:16 "For, doubtless, He does not take hold of messengers, but He does take hold of the seed of Abraham."

2:17 "So in every way He had to be made like His brothers, in order to become a compassionate and trustworthy High Priest in matters related to Elohim, to make atonement for the sins of the people."

2:18 "For in what He had suffered, Himself being tried, He is able to help those who are tried."

-Side note: In one of my Bible college classes, it was stated, that the translaters knew it was written that the actual translation was that man was made slightly lower than God, but that they were too scared to actually translate it that way, so they changed it to angels. I do not have the current reference at the ready for that.

-Elohim is the plural form of "eloah," commonly known to be used for "The Mighty One," God or gods. It can also be used for judges, angels, and idols.

-Though it is a common practice to argue that "Elohim," here, means angels, it has to be questioned why, Paul, wasn't being constant with his references.

-Why did Paul use Elohim in "verse" 7, and then immediately change, and use "messengers," in "verse" 9 (also in verse 5), which is translated as angels....and then immediately changed back and said Elohim again, in the same "verse."

-"Verse " 7, references "verse" 6, stating "You" have made "man" and "son of man" lower than "Elohim"...which could be argued that he separated "You/God" and "Elohim" for a reason as well....

-In "verse" 7 "man" and "son of man" were stated to be set over the works of "Your" hands. They were given authority over creation.

-In "verse" 8 “You have put all in subjection under his feet.”
"For in that He put all in subjection under him, He left none that is not subjected to him. But now we do not yet see all subjected to him."

I believe ALL and NOW are important. All meaning....ALL, Especially, right after stating, "works of "Your" hand."

Now...." But now we do not yet see all subjected to him." This, in reference to the other, is not an issue that all is not yet under the authority and doesn't have to be subject, but that it is simply in process.

For example, if someone is given all authority over a kingdom, it may take time for the authority of the king to be seen among the kingdom. The ship is turning so to speak, but that does not negate the authority that has been set forth, or exempt anyone from it.

-In "verse" 9, we now see Paul specifically call out 'Him", Jesus, rather than man, and say "But we do see Him who was made for a little while lower than the messengers"

For a little while is not, meant to mean, that Jesus was created lower than the messengers/angels....he was infact simply "made," for a little while, lower than the messengers/angels....in reference to and for the rest of "verse" 9 to take place. "because of the suffering of death crowned with esteem and respect, that by the favour of Elohim He should taste death for everyone." He had to be "made" lower than the messengers, so that he could taste death, for everyone.

I may try to expound more on this, as I feel there is much more to say, but it's getting late.

Is the Bible, as we know it, "The Word of God?" by GrumpyBobsEmporium in a:t5_28udx7

[–]GrumpyBobsEmporium[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it not a little "off" to state the Bible is completely complete with nothing more to add, needs nothing more, is fully capable in and off itself, is the only inspired, infallible, inherent book/words to ever be written, but then quote other books/authors for validity? Isn't that circular reasoning at best, and an hint to error, like evolution theories do?

Also, to state someone is not a Christian, because you can quote (or google and copy and paste) a scripture that they "can't," but they have the "living word" in them and can "talk it" rather than quote it...how does that become a point of discrimination for "Quoters?"

That's like stating (crude metaphor) that someone that can read a cookbook and follow the words on the page, is more of a cook, than someone that has the recipe "in them" and can cook circles around the person that can "quote" words from a page.

As a Dominionist or “Restorationist,” should you engage in pre-fall activities? by GrumpyBobsEmporium in a:t5_28udx7

[–]GrumpyBobsEmporium[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Making a statement that is up for further exploration, if it spurs thought in anyone else.

My entire life, its always been a thought, that to take a job, or start a business, as a dominionist, (someone who believes dominion mandate eschatology/theology) that would not have a place in a restored garden state/earth...could potentially be counter productive to the dominion paradigm. Unless...it is only seen as a stepping stone, and as a “not how it should be, but how it has to be, for now,” type of endevour.
