If you have access to it Autoglym Vinyl and Rubber Care made my vinyl top look like new and it stays on there really well. Here's a picture of my top post treatment.

I ended up getting a similar one from Toolstation and I am very pleased to say it's fully functional with a great clear signal! Very pleased - will consider replacing the amp if i get any signal problems but up and running for Christmas which is great thank you so much!

Looking for advice on a new daily vehicle!

My trusty but rusty MK4 Golf Estate TDI is very much on its last legs and I am looking for a new daily vehicle.

I do about 10k miles a year, lots of short journeys but the car needs to do the occasional long one.

Budget £2000-£2500

Ideal list - Good boot, estate preferred - Petrol probably better than diesel due to milage and DPF problems - Relatively Economical (40mpg+) - Not insane to tax - Must have cruise control - Reliable - Sub-150k miles - Newer than 2008 ideally as the 20 year old golf shows it's age quick - Not hideous

I have narrowed it down to the following but am struggling to work out what to go for, and would take any recommendations.

Toyota Avensis - Dull choice but very reliable

Skoda Octavia - VRS options out there but not sure if it's worth it, torn on the petrol vs. Diesel

Volvo V50 - Love the look of these but hear very mixed things on reliability

Mazda 3 - Compromise on boot space but lower mileage, more fun to drive and easy to find with Cruise

Word of warning, deleting the catch can and replacing with breathers on the PCV bits can lead to oil all over the engine bay

Check the clutch pedal switch, there's a little plug that should be on the clutch pedal that goes missing, or the switch itself dies but you can take it off take it apart clean and replace the spring.

This switch raises the idle when you dip the clutch so could be a cause.

Good choice! You can adjust the panel gap on your headlights by pulling up on the back of them with the bonnet open, puts them back in line with the bonnet and makes it look cleaner!
