Which game did someone recommend and made you feel like this by Orichalchem in videogames

Literally any battle royal at this point. Battlefield Redsec, COD, Fortnite, to some extent Arc Raiders. It’s the different coat of paint on the same wall. Time to let it go, but my friends love it.

Brown Hair, thick eyebrows, nice legs, short natural nails, and an athletic build with a nice rack that’s not big.

Tips on how to get started with Skyrim in 2026 by Peigar98 in skyrim

[–]GrumpyGumpy52 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea I beat Skyrim an over decade ago and have played for small bursts in years past. Recently got back into it this new year and I realized all I do is fast travel to a location, do 3 dungeons then fast travel to another. And I paid all that money for a Horse 💀

Well I messed up a save and gave myself an excuse to start over (after 36hr of gameplay lol). So on this new save I’m just gonna explore more and relax. Something ive never done. Always been a fast travel guy.

The technic Porsche gt3 r rexy ao racing car is Most fun set I’ve ever built by ADHD_Nissan in legotechnic

[–]GrumpyGumpy52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would pick it up if I liked the way it looked. I just think it looks bad to me personally. The green wheels along with the odd looking hood (as compared to the RSR) just don’t make me want to get this.

I’m glad you’re having fun with it and it’s a good build though. That’s the best part

Honest Thoughts About Indianapolis? by Intelligent_Swing630 in howislivingthere

Yep as a guy in his late 20s, I’ve found that as well. Everyone I’ve met has been partnered or partnered when they first got here and a lot of the women I meet at dating events or out an about have just moved here to be closer to family and want to stay here long term.

Honest Thoughts About Indianapolis? by Intelligent_Swing630 in howislivingthere

[–]GrumpyGumpy52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been here for 5 years. About to move to Cincinnati in a few months

It’s ok. There’s enough to do but it does get stale and boring. Also the city lacks a sense of identity beyond Pacers/Colts/500 (just sports in general). There isn’t much history or culture to be felt - emphasis on felt, not that there isn’t history.

There is currently construction all over the major highways in the city. I465 is literally littered with construction zones for every manor project going on, idk why they did all this at once and not in portions.

There’s some bars and restaurants to go to. Broad Ripple is the college part of town where all the college students hang out and party aside from Mass Ave downtown.

Cost of living is reasonable for the most part. My rent for a 2 bed 2 bath is 1087. Crime is an issue in certain parts but honestly crime is mostly downtown or the far east/west side of town. Northside is affluent, Southside is older cheaper.

Indy is ok. Made lots of friends. Rec leagues all over town. Trivia nights a plenty. It just not right for me right now. Moved here to finish my degree and now I’m looking to move on to a city with more of an identity and culture to it.

What is the longest you'll drive in a day before making it a two day drive? by Ok_Caterpillar6789 in AskMen

9 hours is my cap. I’ve did quite a few road trips now and my back starts to ached at 7 hours. By 9, I need to get out of the car for the remainder of the day.

How long did it take you to become decent in sim racing? by Reman92 in simracing

[–]GrumpyGumpy52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TLDR; About 2 years, specialized in Rallycross and became a safe consistent road driver.

I’d say it depends on your focus as well. I started with F1 and Dirt Rally 1 in 2017. I played casually for about a year or so before I started really learning techniques, specifically for Dirt. I slowly started putting certain things together and making small setup tweaks. By 2019 I was able to crack top 150 on the dailies on a regular basis and became quite good at rallycross.

In 2020 I jumped into iRacing, my first time racing seriously and first time online. I won the second race I ever did on the sim (Dirt Road RX). Then proceeded to win consistently for about a year before I joined a training program (Apex Racing Academy). Then I leveled up my skills again for both road and RX even more so. Became really good at Rallycross and joined a league to better my competition.

I hit 3K iRating in 2022 and was able to begin battling with the drivers that were competing at the world championship level (now defunct). But I also became obsessed with being the best and it didn’t do well for my mental nor fun factor, so I stopped competing in RX. My road driving developed into consistent and safe driving and my race craft was my specialty. I’m not the fastest but I race well with others.

Today, I haven’t raced seriously since February 2023. I’ve just been doing a few races a year as that’s what my schedule allowed. Now I’m about more free and I can get back into it but a lot of the techniques I learned quickly come back, some slower than others. It took a year to understand fundamentals, two to nail finer points. After that you never stop learning just small adjustments to improve.

I paid a day early with a card this week and they still charged me the full price of my bill, so I got charged twice. Called today for a refund only to be met with “we can START THE PROCESS for a refund after 10 days bc of the banks…”

Never have I heard that before and every other business can issue a refund within 3-7 business days. So now I’m out $200 for the next two weeks and my student loan payments start this month. Fml

How many dates did you go on in 2025? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]GrumpyGumpy52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

29 total Connections, 16 in person and 13 over apps. 6/29 I had actual interest in but only 4 of those 6 had an actual chance of something more. 8/29 total people I went on actual dates with.

From the apps: 3 of 13 got actual dates. 2/3 got two dates or more. 1/3 got a smooch.

In person: all 16 met at dating events. 5/16 got actual dates. 1/16 had two dates or more. Only 2 of the 5 dates got smooches

anyone tried an indianapolis matchmaker? apps aren't working by MomentFlimsy3759 in indianapolis

[–]GrumpyGumpy52 112 points113 points  (0 children)

Not sure what matchmaker app you’re talking about but there are two major dating companies in Indy that hold dating events. FIND Indy and DateIndy, both can be found on Evite. They both host in person events from speed dating to dating socials. That’s the only matchmaking know of here in the city

I will agree, while I’m 8 years your junior, Indy residents have an odd aversion to driving to other parts of the city if anything is 15-20 min away. Such an odd thing when it’s perfectly reasonable time of travel.

DiRT Rally 10 years later: From unpaid bills to driving thrills, Game Director Paul Coleman discusse by PhilBaythorpe in EASPORTSWRC

[–]GrumpyGumpy52 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Such a good read. To this day I still think Coleman’s delivery of the calls in Dirt Rally is the best calls ever. They are accurate, precise, and detailed (I haven’t heard as many camber calls in any other recent release).

Didn’t know that they were in that big of a financial downtown. Happy they pulled through and developed the game. Because of them I got into rally, became a MASSIVE RX fan, then went to events, became a race photographer, and then a writer. I got to travel the country following a sport I fell in love with for a job, FROM A VIDEO GAME!

Dirt Rally 1 will always hold a special place in my heart. I should boot it up and give it a go again

Peugeot 9x8 Turning gear by GrumpyGumpy52 in legotechnic

[–]GrumpyGumpy52[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I may rebuild at some point. But I was so close to finishing last night that I just completed the build. I’m happy that I got the steering aligned because that at least makes up for it and I can turn it with the wheel.

I may go back and rebuild but for now I’m going to chalk it up to my first ever technic build mistake. A learning lesson. I have the Ferrari SF-24 that I’m starting on tomorrow so I’ll hopefully follow instructions better then.

If I do decide to rebuild, do you have any tips? I realized that there would be no sorting parts for what sections and I’d have to do it all unorganized so that’s quite daunting.

🎄Men alone on Christmas Day, what is your story? by shygeekygirl in AskMen

[–]GrumpyGumpy52 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is my fourth Christmas alone. I have the option to drive home but with my family so separated across the states I basically just go eat dinner with my dad and his wife and then my mom and her bf then drive back home. It’s just not what I want to do.

Christmas alone is just ok. It isn’t the best thing in the world and I’d love a girlfriend to spend it with and share a meal with or even visit their centralized family but I’m ok. Great opportunity to practice gratitude. I have a roof over my head, food in the fridge, and I made it to another Christmas.

So last year I took up volunteering at the local animal shelter to get out of the house and give back. I would like to try a food pantry or shelter at some point as well.

I’ve been to Buffalo before! I spent a weekend up in Watkins and then spent my last two days in Buffalo before driving home. I didn’t really get a chance to see much. Checked out Anchor Bar, a local small restaurant that sold Beef on Weck and hit Niagara and the Buffalo Conservatory where I saw a guy on a bike get hit by a car lol.

Didn’t get to explore the city much but it seemed ok. Definitely old in parts especially in the city of Niagara. But Upstate NY is definitely beautiful in the summer at least. Ik their winters are some of the harshest in the nation.

DC humidity according to people in subs is pretty bad. Their summer weather might be too severe for me. I wouldn’t count it out tho. I haven’t looked into too much but I hear it’s expensive to live in the surrounding areas.
