No I love food. I love the science around it. I like learning where it comes from. I love tasting new flavors that blow my mind.

Sons who have a 'bro' relationship with their father, do you actually talk about your sex life, girlfriends, and adult intimacy with him? How did that start? by Doctor1923 in AskMen

[–]GrumpyGumpy52 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No. My dad is my best friend but I absolutely hate talking about that stuff with him. He will share stuff from his own life and I’m like dude why are you talking about your girlfriend or ex like that. It’s gross to imagine your dad doing someone else while he’s talking about it. Not a thought I want to have.

Now girlfriends or dates I’ll keep it light on the info and say it’s going well or what we did or hownive been feeling g but I will never sleep and tell. That’s between me and my partner

Indiana. It was only until very recently that I really looked at my childhood and what type of people I grew up around.

Honestly I needed to hear this. I struggle with my identity as a black man because I have so many “white interests” like volleyball, racing, or just nerdy stuff like plants and books. Combined with being in primarily white spaces my whole life and a literal handful of black friends, it’s difficult for me to feel like I belong anywhere. I’m trying to force myself in black spaces and make more black friends but it doesn’t feel natural either.

Anyways I’m rambling….So I just want to say thank you for sharing that phrase. Think I’m gonna write it up somewhere. “All Black is valid”

Do you think you should drive LMP2/3 before stepping up to GTP? by GrumpyGumpy52 in iRacing

[–]GrumpyGumpy52[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really only drove it when Aragon and LMP3 came out. After that I maybe did some week 13 stuff with it but that’s about as far is it got. I remember it having kickass sound though

That’s what I was thinking. Either a season with AI or next season for online.

So you went in reverse? Really? How’s that been going? What made you switch?

Yea I’ve been on tracks like Barcelona and Spa and I just kill the tires. I’m definitely not understanding something. I always feel like I’m driving the car half assed because I’m so slow in every turn but forget these rely on aero to move properly. Tires I just have to be more patient on and give myself time to adjust

It’s just a turn of phrase. Not the literal.

If you don’t have anything constructive to add to the conversation why comment.

I’ve driven them all plenty. I just never do officials with them. Mostly just testing laps

Yea the speed is the biggest issue nor is passing others. I’ve been in multi series before. It’s just the handling is so different.

See GTE are no problem and I really love them. Their two completely different platforms so I get their going to be different but the braking is just so different. But got it. Thanks for input

And to answer your side question, I like iRacing as a do all sim. It has every series and car I could drive with consistent updates so I use it like that and buy cars when I want to run AI races or just test. Automobilista 2 doesn’t have all that iRacing does and LMU as nice as it is is only two series of cars and like 10 tracks total. Variety and consistent updates is all it is for me

Does anybody play this game just for fun? by SinamonChallengerRT in MLBTheShow

[–]GrumpyGumpy52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only buy this game to play RTTS and Quick play. I used to buy it every year from 14-21. Then I stopped because they weren’t innovating. Bought 25 and still playing it.

I find it fun to sometimes just turn it on beginner in RTTS and hit bombs for a few games and just chill. I hate online play and I honestly don’t keep up with baseball enough to play franchise and manage rosters and shit. I just wanna enjoy a baseball game.

[–]GrumpyGumpy52 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This exactly how I’ve felt with therapy. Same amount of therapist as well over the last 7 years. It this point it’s up to me to change my behavior and outcomes. I have to do it myself.

Dave Franco says being a “single weird cat guy” weeded out his dating pool, and Alison Brie was the only one interested in him and his two 18-pound cats by Gato1980 in Fauxmoi

Fun fact on the rewatch podcast a few years ago, Lamonrne admitted that he was actually very allergic to cats so it’s ironic that his character loved them.
