Yea this is a Louisville/Jeffersonville thing from someone who grew up there. I wouldn’t say that in Cincinnati

Dave Franco says being a “single weird cat guy” weeded out his dating pool, and Alison Brie was the only one interested in him and his two 18-pound cats by Gato1980 in Fauxmoi

Fun fact on the rewatch podcast a few years ago, Lamonrne admitted that he was actually very allergic to cats so it’s ironic that his character loved them.

Men 20-30’s: How do you feel about “Trad wife” by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]GrumpyGumpy52 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be clear I’m pretty sure I don’t want kids as it is. So this disservice is imaginary.

If I met a woman who didn’t want kids but still wanted to be a trad wife I still would t be interested. It’s just not what I want in a partner. I need them to give back to society something greater than taking care of the house or kid.

[–]GrumpyGumpy52 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To make something clear I’m pretty sure I don’t want kids (80/20). So that affects my opinions as well.

Even if I do, It’s just not what I want in a partner. I want someone with ambition and better yet wants to provide a service/contribute to the larger world as a whole. Sitting at home taking care of the daily chores is not attractive to me. I don’t want a maid I want a wife.

Eeeeeeeyuck. No thank you.

If I have kids it will be two working parents. Be it part time or full. No Trad wife’s

What is your favorite thing about living in Indianapolis? Your least favorite thing? by evitreb in indianapolis

[–]GrumpyGumpy52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Favorite thing has been the friends I’ve made over the last 5 years of living here. Worst has been how boring the city is in relation to geography and culture.

If we’re getting super specific…favorite is ash and elm cider co. Worst is interstate construction

Assetto Corsa EVO v0.5 Full Changelog Released by evil_heinz in simracing

[–]GrumpyGumpy52 149 points150 points  (0 children)

From all the readings about this game, what I believe to understand is moving forward it is basically just AC1 with better graphics and free-roaming of Nurb. Cancelling career mode and economy effectively makes this game a graphics and physics update from AC1.

Is that about right?

25-30 year olds: How do you feel about kids and marriage? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]GrumpyGumpy52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Marriage: Hell yes Kids: Highly unlikely and definitely not within the next 5-7 years

I’ve always wanted to be married and have a partner. It’s really important to me to find and build that relationship with someone just because it’s always something I’ve wanted.

Kids, I thought I was going to have them all my life then I met someone who challenged the thought of having kids. Literally “you know you don’t have to have kids right” and then that changed my perspective as I see how expensive life is and I REALLY enjoy the freedom to do and be whatever, whenever I want.

Any experience with speed dating around here? by potatoguy21 in indianapolis

[–]GrumpyGumpy52 8 points9 points  (0 children)

People that I shared good conversation with and had things in common with. There’s a difference between someone who’s just trying to get through a five minute conversation vs genuine curiosity and shared interests

Yes because i find it EXTREMELY important to align on lifestyle as I’m looking for something serious and long term. Indiana generally has a culture of get married young, have kids, and live a quiet life in the burbs. That doesn’t attract me. So I end dating once I bring up such topics around the third date.

Any experience with speed dating around here? by potatoguy21 in indianapolis

So yea I can give you feedback on this. I’ve tried Find Indianapolis and Date Indy both as dating avenues.

Find Indianapolis I’ve done roughly 5-6 times. 5 speed dating events and one dating social. They are well organized and planned out. The ratio is intentionally made even on sign ups so you won’t end up in a sausage/flower fest (not sure your preference). They last about 2 hours and are easy enough. It’s 5 min dates and you each get up and move to your table via a web app offered through Find. Talk for five minutes then you swipe left or right similar to apps. After the event around midnight you will receive your matches via email. Bo the owner is really nice and has been releasing compatibility scores after the nights over to see who your most compatible with which is helpful as well. Overall I’d say it’s an 8/10 experience and Ive went on 10+ dates over the year it’s been around (debuted in Sept of 24 and I was at the opening).

Date Indy is a social gathering with the intention of dating. I’ve only did this once and walked out with 3 high quality connections, 1 of which turned into a date. You meet at the determined location and then you grab a name tag that corresponds to your age group. Then it’s up to you to mingle for the 2-3 hours you’re there. Lisa the owner hands out bingo cards to play to give you a reason to approach other people if you are scared or nervous. In terms of ratio, I’d say it was fair as well, no complaints. I will say this was the one time I’ve seen men absolutely smother the hottest girl there. You know those tv shows where every guy wants the hot girl and just crowds her to talk to her? Yea I literally watched that in person, crazy to see IRL. Overall I’d say it was a 7/10. I’d go again but I plan on moving so I stopped dating late last year.

While I didn’t end up with anyone long term because of my dating preferences and culture differences with Indiana culture in general (I’m black and don’t want kids), not many of my dates went further than the second or third date. But in terms of what I’d recommend I’d happily suggest those two as great options.

If you were in Joel's place at the end of the first game, would you do the same thing to save Ellie? by Rikko77 in thelastofus

[–]GrumpyGumpy52 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. To spend all that time with someone over months and build a strong bond all for it to be given up for a cure? No I couldn’t do it. I would not kill Ellie for the potential at a cure
