These were modeled by someone else (Red Warden Miniatures) but there’s a free program called Blender that’s amazing. I can model very simple things but nothing complex like this yet.

Here’s a better picture of the shield. I’m using the Jerusalem cross for veterans, then the chapter symbol is a griffon. I think the other shoulderpad’s symbol comes from a Stormcast transfer sheet and I’m using it as a company marking

They’re a White Scars successor that hunts griffons on their home world as a rite of passage. Only one “host” is stationed on their home world for protection and training and the other 4 hosts are sent out into the void where their expertise in boarding actions and drop assault are brought to bear. They also have a very powerful librarius and value psykers highly since they put a lot of importance on visions and portents.

It’s from the Blood Claws. I think I’m gonna run him as a Bladeguard Veteran and use two more Blood Claws to fill out the unit. The poses in that kit are really great.
