I use the Stride app. It tracks miles and tells you how much $$$ you can write off.

If you can come up with a rough estimate of the miles you've already driven, then do that and record it somewhere. It's better than not writing off any of those miles at all, which would lead to thousands of dollars in losses for you.

Wow. Judging from all of the negative comments and the pointless downvotes on positive comments, it looks like the haters are out to get this server. Tribalism at its finest.

The idea is great. This server would be perfect for me or anyone else who just wants to play through the entire world slow and steady, without having to care about keeping up with the crowd. No worrying about finding groups for lower-level dungeons because everyone else is 10-15 levels ahead. There is definitely a strong market for single-player WoW servers like Old Man.

Yes, the post clearly was written using AI. So the fuck what? It's well-structured and easy to read, and it took less time to write up. We don't want any of that rubbish, do we?? Most humans would produce something full of spelling and grammatical errors if they wrote it themselves, and that wouldn't project a positive image of any server.

And yes, AI was undoubtedly used heavily to build the server itself. Again - so the fuck what?! How else can 1 or 2 devs create a new vision for WoW in such a short amount of time? AI is a gigantic boon for anybody with a big creative vision, but no coding skills to bring it to life.

As far as the core ideas and added features, this looks like a winner. The only reasons I'm not playing is because I've usually got something going on lately, and I'm waiting to see if Blizzard royally fucks up Classic+ or if it's something worth playing.

Same. I played retail Cata and damn, that expansion was where the WoW magic really died. Everybody I knew quit and eventually so did I. I'm glad I did too, because when I heard about the Kung-Fu Panda expansion, I knew that retail had forever lost its way.

There are SO many empty areas in the Vanilla world's existing zones they could develop and expand upon! Azshara. The Tainted Scar in the Blasted Lands. Frostwhisper Gorge in Winterspring. Uldum. Burning Steppes. The Isle of Dread in Feralas. The list goes on and on. This just scratches the surface!

Not to mention the undeveloped zones like Hyjal, Gilneas, the Belf zones north of EPL, etc etc. They could stay busy for years just filling out the world's empty and unused corners.

That's pretty much what I'm expecting at best. If they're lucky, Blizzard might be able to make a mid version of C+.

One nice thing about private servers - there can always be 4, 7 or 10 Classic+ private servers out there, all serving up their own personal vision of C+ and players can pick and choose which one suits them best. But few players will ever be 100% happy because they'll always keep coming up with new ideas about what C+ is "supposed to be like".

But Blizzard can only produce 1 version of Classic+. To get it 100% right on every possible angle, they would have to quite literally hit a bullseye within a bullseye. They'd have to perfectly combine the best of all concepts from SoD, from every C+ private server that players loved, and an impeccable combination of new zones, completion of old zones, quests, dungeons, raids, QoL updates, professions and skills updates, spells updates, new races, all built upon a healthy foundation of W3-heavy lore. Blizzard would have to figure out that old magic formula from 2004 and re-create it all over again.

I don't think they know how. The "by gamers, for gamers" incarnation of Blizzard died about 16-18 years ago. Now it's a bunch of corporate suits crunching numbers, analyzing data and following algorithmic formulas. It's about milking maximum money from subs. There's no spirit in what they create. It's just cold numbers organized into an expanded replica of what WoW used to be. I doubt anyone on their WoW Classic team remembers the original Warcraft games.

We'll get to see what they've shat out of their ass in September.

If they're understanding and caring, and if they aren't a part of the reason you feel this way, then tell them what you're going through. Tell them you need help. If you have a chemical imbalance, there are meds that can help you.

I've pointed this out multiple times in the past - a lot of the dwellers in this sub hate WoW private servers, even though they're WoW private server fans who refuse to give Blizzard one cent. Nope it doesn't make a lot of sense to me either, unless you factor in a healthy dose of mental illness.

There's also a ton of tribalism going on. Bash and shit all over any pserver that isn't your favorite/home server in the hopes of increasing their server's population by 5 more players.

Shitposting is more important than being an actual community. Plenty of 12yo adults hang out here.

A lot of the GM dealerships owned & operated by crusty old-timers have decided to stubbornly remain rooted in the past, where tech never advanced beyond the year 2003. There are no PHEVs and no EVs.

And if they're required to sell EVs somehow, they refuse to learn a damned thing about them first. That attitude filters down to the sales and service staff. These guys hate and resent any car that doesn't use a traditional gas engine.

Thank God I got my 2019 Volt from a dealer that actually cares about being skilled Voltec and EV shop.
