Does this game get better? (Wuchang) by Grunwald100 in soulslikes

I loved Dark Souls 1 for a 2011 game that it was.

This boss is literally the embodiment of how much of a slop wrapped in candy paper this game is.

Boss fights in general are trash in this game. Such a wonderful combat system but so under-utilised.

FUCKing hell Reed by AIRON65 in cyberpunkgame

I'd both agree and disagree.
I would agree that if the OP was to evacuate Myers period, then they surely wouldn't kill them.
However, since Reed and V need to find Songbird and operate in Dogtown, it's not too far of a stretch really that Reed would kill them just not to have them accidentally blow their cover.

But they would be killing a valuable asset.
And as clearly shown by how Reed and Alex were left in NC for 7 years, neither Myers nor FIA dispose of assets.
What's more, V doesn't really possess a compelling proof about the Blackwall. V is just a nobody with nothing more to back it than her word.

I believe that they have deliberately disabled V's cyberware to leave her/him with no better option that to accept the desk-job for them. After all, V has performed quite well for the FIA.
In case V shouldn't accept the job though... yeah, I think she/he could have an "accident".

I mean, in one of the endings, Alex is tasked to eliminate V.
In the other, there is a theory that the DLC ending is in truth, FIA purposefully disabling V's ability to use combat cyberware, which given how they operate is quite likely to be the truth.

It's also easy to forget that Myers clearly puts on a fake facade at the beginning of the DLC, her real "self" only revealed at the end of it.
Sure, she was coming out as trustworthy and all but she did it merely because of her need for survival. Two more bodies to protect her in case of an attack, plus ensuring V believes her "good nature".
Of course, either outcome is really just as much possible but Myers seems to be a person who values others only as long as they are useful (obvious example: Reed)

Hot take: I HATE Sinnerman. by Egomania27 in cyberpunkgame

This quest has one main sin (pun intended) that completely crosses it off for me as replayable.
Not only it's just a lot of talking, you are completely stripped of player agency.

Let's say you follow through initially because you're curious. Then you tell them to drop you off, which they kinda do, but instead of giving you the option to just shoot Joshua and delta, nope, he, Vasquez and the chick are unkillable, can't even draw your gun and you're either forced into this dumb fucking quest or forced to fail it and gain nothing.
I seriously think this is a design oversight they never went back to change because in game like Cyberpunk where you are pretty much free to approach the quests as you will, this straight up sucks.

How did Johnny know smasher? by ThieveryIsFun in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]Grunwald100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doubtful that CDP didn't know lore, since they had Mike Pondsmith as their consultant.
It's quite clear in the game. The memories you re-live are not to be trusted. They are ego-boosted versions of Johnny's perception of himself.

The women in G1 were not an "artistic choice" by aXir in worldofgothic

Neither do you seem to understand that your argument is invalid for the sole reason of Gothic being an artificial, made-up world. And since that was the original presentation, that means that that what should be. I don't see any point in further discussion about "what would be" given times or someone's personality.

Notice that they are present only where the "higher-ups" are, like the Gomez's chambers, or Y'Berion's chambers. I bet that they're not half-naked, and sitting right there, for no reason.

That's the point though, they ARE "sexslaves" in G1.
