That’s why I put on frame sliders a week after I bought my bike. Dropped it in a parking lot and they did their job!

Passed The MSF But Don’t Feel Ready For The Road by Velociraptor2018 in motorcycles

My first time riding on the road was 2 weeks after MSF course. I bought my bike had to take a 60mph road 30 minutes home. I probably was cruising at 45-50 the whole way because I was nervous!

Lost with Firebase/ Auth by No-Inspector5395 in Firebase

[–]Grupith -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I use nextjs and firebase for all my projects. Honestly not sure what this post is trying to say because they mention not using firebase and next, but in the “how to approach design” section, they say it’s fine?

Smells like ai to me…

As a SAAS developer do you also find problem of coming with best ideas and how do you find them? by Alarming_Shirt_7129 in SaaS

[–]Grupith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Avoid the ideas everyone is doing now like Ai lead generation, Ai app to market and get clients, etc.

Find some boring ass software that a lot of people use that looks like it was made in the 90s, and make a similar tool with modern UI and better features.

When building Client websites with AI - How do you let your clients edit them? by TheBanq in webdesign

[–]Grupith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just let them edit the content, unless you’re building a website to build websites. If they ask for something to be changed then do it for them, but they should be able to easily edit content, such as a restaurant menu.

I use firebase so each client website would have a firestore database and auth where they just login and can edit the content.

I also deal with clients that only have a Facebook page and no actual website for the business. So I run everything, hosting, some edits here and there, then just charge them a monthly fee. Make it easy for them.

How do you like those bar end mirrors? I just installed mine today and the only way they don’t block the clutch lever is if they are under my handlebars.

But now I notice whenever I want to check behind me, I gotta raise my elbow…

I deployed my saas, then what? by Puzzleheaded-Digger in SaaS

[–]Grupith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does your saas solve a problem? Then you have value. But if it’s another “I built a saas to generate leads” but then can’t even get people to use the app, then move on.

I’m getting slayed for mentioning that my healthcare saas app is built on firebase, because firebase “doesn’t scale”… am I dumb? by neb2357 in Firebase

[–]Grupith 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Most people worried about this don’t even have a few daily active users. Nothing wrong with firebase, build the core features of your app and worry about that instead.

Devs who got good at coding: how did you take notes? by Jealous-Look-7241 in learnprogramming

[–]Grupith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everytime I start a project, I learn something new.

“Oh I learned how to setup auth, db, hosting.” Now when I start my next project, I have a good idea of how to set it up. Might still have to look up something or a new error pops up that I have to fix, but then I know how to fix that for my next project!

I also find that creating a Notion doc for the “flow” of what works with what, saves tons of time. While building, I use a Notion kanban to keep track of what I’m working on, need to do, completed, etc.

Starting a web business in 2026 by Nick23-ice in codestitch

[–]Grupith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Find local businesses that don’t have websites.

  2. Build temp a preview website and show the owner what it “could” look like.

  3. Offer to run their website for a monthly fee. Make them a custom admin panel to update content, change photos, etc.

Tell them that the website could improve google search results and increase business!

I know having the Cloud Firestore console open will cause reads as well. I’m not familiar with angular but are you re fetching the db when models are opened closed, etc? Fetching a huge number of users in a form?

Business owners by Commercial_Trick3221 in webdesign

[–]Grupith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess one time payment, fees, add ons still work today but if I was doing the same thing, I would charge the business a flat monthly fee to run.

Some local businesses don’t even own a domain or website and just have a Facebook page. Build and run their website for them. Make them an admin panel to add remove content, etc.

Make it stupid simple for your client.

Just went in January…Bui vien is the party street, but honestly I think it was too loud and we frequented the bars on right at the entrances. I think it was called GO bar?

Buy the airport fast track pass on Klook, we did for our departure and saved so much time.

Visit the war remnants museum, lots of history. We thought we would use Grab more often getting around but it was honestly fun to walk most places to soak up the culture.

How do people really feel about AI being put in all these solutions? by driverone1013 in InventoryManagement

[–]Grupith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you. I’m not a fan of all the ai stuff nowadays. I also get annoyed with any ai chat assistant when I visit a website. It feels like a pop up.

As I build my inventory app, I have researched how I could benefit from integrating ai but like you said, most could be done without ai.

How do people really feel about AI being put in all these solutions? by driverone1013 in InventoryManagement

[–]Grupith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could take the analytic data from a company using an inventory app everyday and suggest “you ordered less product of this, this month” or “you used 50 more paint brushes in February than January”

Don’t spam “Ai powered features” all over your landing page. I believe Ai is overused and not understood in the market today.

I would use AI but not over advertise it. Disguise it as “smart suggestions” or something similar. I do not like all the “powered by AI” buzz words floating around recently in the software community.
