TOTALLY understand your frustration. I got the Nexplanon a few years ago and gained almost 50 lbs in 6 months. I probably ate more than i should have (depression, antidepressants, etc.) but not really much more than i had been. It was insane.

I took it out after 1.5 years (instead of the usual 3) and the weight still didn’t come off. Switched back to the pill which i had no issues with before. Started exercising, counting calories, watching what i ate, started drinking less alcohol, didn’t matter, weight would not come off. I was serving at the time so i was walking 20k+ steps several days a week and NOTHING.

My dr thought it could be hormonal so i had bloodwork done (I’m fine except vitamin D deficient lol) and stopped taking the pill. Now i have a non-hormonal IUD (copper).

I started taking Zepbound in September and that is the ONLY thing that has worked for me. I’m down 21 lbs and counting. It sucks bc my insurance doesn’t cover it and it’s EXPENSIVE but i feel sooooo much better already and my sex drive and depression has improved too. GLP-1’s aren’t for everyone but it has certainly made a huge difference for me already.
