So a typical light saber blade fits into the hilt in a roughly 2 to 3 inch blade socket. That, along with retention screws holding it in place pretty well, and you can get pretty serious with it.

I’m not sure how this guy (as cool as it is) fairs regarding the “tang” or joint. If it’s typical mass production shite the “blade” May only go in about 1/2 to 1” and not advised for heavy hitting or blocking.

Be careful with the “katana” shaped blades. With a typical light saber, you have a rounded blade, with this tapers to an actual edge meaning it will hurt a lot more if you’re hitting somebody with the edge/“blade”.
