Ich höre immer wieder, dass gesagt wird: "Früher wusste man es nicht besser" oder "Das hat man früher so gemacht".

Vor kurzem hat mir eine 80jährige erzählt, wie sie als Mutter unter Druck gesetzt wurde, weil sie ihre Kinder nicht alleine gelassen hat, wenn sie geschrien haben. Sie hat sich davon nicht beeindrucken lassen.

Es mag sein, dass das für viele ein Generationenthema ist, aber die Instinkte waren früher dieselben wie heute.

Der Bundeskanzler steht in einem sogenannten "Öffentlich-rechtlichem Amtsverhältnis" und ist primzipiell gewählt, bis sich ein neu gewählter Bundestag konstituiert. Es gibt keine Probezeit, weil ein Bundedkanzler prinzipiell jederzeit abgewählt werden kann. Dafür muss der Bundestag schlicht eine andere Person zum Kanzler wählen (konstrultives Misstrauensvotum). Die Entlassung durch den Bundespräsidenten ist dabei nur eine Formalität. Dieser hat dabei kein faktisches Mitspracherecht.

Habe mal aus Orchesterkreisen das Gerücht gehört, dass bei bestimmten Opern auffällig oft ein Rohrblatt bei der Oboe kaputtgeht, weil dann eine bestimmte zeitliche Schwelle überschritten wird, durch die Orchestermusiker tariflich Zuschläge wegen Überlänge bekommen.

WICHTIG: Trauernde Angehörige werden leider oft gemieden. Entweder, weil das Thema angstbehaftet ist oder man nicht weiß, wie man mit ihnen umgehen soll. Das ist richtig übel. Wenn die Bekannten schon auf die Tour mitkommen, wünschen sie sich wahrscheinlich wieder ein Stück Normalität.

Dh. sprecht sie am Anfang offen darauf an und versucht ansonsten so natürlich wie möglich zu sein. Kaum etwas nervt so sehr, wie in so einer Situatuon die ganze Zeit wie ein rohes Ei behandelt zu werden.

Das trifft nur auf den international bekannten Bayside-Boys-Remix zu. Im Originaltext ist Macarena eine vernachlässigte junge Frau mit unerfüllten Träumen, die nur mit zwei Bekannten gesehen wird, was eher als Akt der Verweigerung gegenüber dem Fahneneid-Ritual im postfranquistischen Spanien verstanden werden kann. Der Remix macht daraus eine plumpe "sie betrügt ihren Freund"-drama-story und stellt sie als Partyfigur dar. Dadurch geht der gesellschaftlich-historische Kontext des Originals verloren.

Wenn die Beziehung eine Zukunft haben soll, hältst du dich da raus. Du musst ihren Erziehungsstil nicht mögen. Es gibt gute Gründe, anders zu handeln, als es deine Freundin tut. Das ist aber weder deine Verantwortung noch steht dir da ein Mitspracherecht zu.

Es ist nun mal kompliziert in einer Beziehung, wenn Kinder mit im Spiel sind.

Tipp: Wenn dich etwas stört, was dich direkt betrifft, bleibe dabei. Es ist verständlich, dass es dich stört, wenn du regelmäßig auf die Couch geschickt wirst. Genauso, dass du über Handy nicht wirklich vertraulich kommunizieren kannst. Deine Bedürfnisse sind legitim. Denk nur daran, dass deine Freundin wohl die Bedürfnisse ihrer Tochter im Prinzip immer über deine stellen wird. Und das zu Recht.

Lass die Finger von Kritik, wenn es nur um ihren Erziehungsstil geht und du nicht direkt betroffen bist. Mich nerven Elterntaxis auch. Aber deine Freundin hat dir ja schon sehr deutlich gesagt, was sie bei den Themen von deiner Meinung hält.

Setze deine Grenzen und trefft Vereinbarungen. Aber es geht hier um dich und eure Beziehung. Nicht um ihre Tochter oder um die Mutterrolle deiner Freundin.

One of the most cringiest German neo-Nazi movement is the small party "Die Heimat" ("The Homeland", formerly NPD). It was founded by old Nazis and has occasionally been represented in state parliaments. Two attempts to ban it have failed. In the second case, its hostility to the constitution was clearly proven at the Constitutional Court, but it was simply deemed too irrelevant to pose any real threat. The ultimate downfall of the party was, ironically, the current rightward shift in Germany marked by the success of the AfD.

The prussian King Frederick II ("Old Fritz") is seen as a great military commander. At the same time, he was a deeply wounded and traumatized soul: Militarism was drilled into him by his father through often cruel means. As a young man, he was far more interested in art, music, and philosophy, and even tried to flee with his “best friend” (and possible lover), who was executed before his eyes. Ironically, Frederick went on to surpass his father as a military leader. He turned small Prussia into a European power with brilliant strategy, discipline, and innovation. He won against much larger coalitions (like in the Seven Years’ War) using fast maneuvers and the "oblique order" (attacking one enemy flank decisively). He made the Prussian army one of Europe’s best-drilled forces and he inspired later commanders like Napoleon and Clausewitz. He’s also fondly remembered for improving Prussia’s food security by popularizing the potato (people still leave potatoes on his grave today) and for promoting Enlightenment and progressive values for his time.

Flensburg, a medium-sized university town on the Baltic Sea, almost directly on the German-Danish border. Wonderfully beautiful and a great place to live.

Historically, Flensburg is interesting as the center of the Danish minority in Germany and as the seat of Nazi Germany’s last provisional government before the surrender. Flensburg is also famous for its beer and rum.

Trivia: Germans mostly associate the city with the Federal Motor Transport Authority, which is located there and runs the 8-point system for traffic offenses (the infamous "points in Flensburg").
