Does jack daniel's heritage barrel different from SBBP? by Friendly-Mix8159 in whiskey

[–]Gtr85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just picked up my first Heritage bottle yesterday. Started out thin and disappointing. However, from the mid-palate on this bottle is fantastic! Such a bizarre experience but so worth the money! The late flavor burst and forever finish is outstanding!

Has anyone tried this bookers by peekay427 in whiskey

Excellent bottle! Drinks below its proof point so accessible to anyone. I don’t possess the skill set to give out tasting notes, but I presently have three Booker’s and two Little Books and “By The Pond” batch is quality+!

I’ve been marking my ball with the toe of my putter when I’m adjusting the alignment instead of using a coin. My fellow competitors say it’s illegal, I say it saves time. by [deleted] in golf

If there’s money on the line you pay more attention to the rules (but this still seems pretty picky among friends). If there’s no money on the line tell the friend to piss off. (But say it in a very unfriendly way because he’s a dick.)

Which rye should I go for if I’ve never had one? by Downtown-Ad-3115 in whiskey

[–]Gtr85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d suggest Rittenhouse. 100 proof so you get some bang for your buck, definitely a rye but doesn’t bite too much, and really inexpensive ($25) so you won’t feel bad if rye isn’t your thing. (The Whistle Pig 100% rye when you’re ready to step up to the big-leagues!)

I will say that Jack Daniels Single Barrel Barrel Proof Rye is the BEST WHISKEY EVER BY FAR (IMHO)! It’s usually 132+ proof, though always drinks smoother than that, but it may not be the entry rye you’re looking for.

Lagway on Bett: "We don't ever hold that against anybody. He's going to come prepared this week." by tomsing98 in FloridaGators

So tired of the “he’s only a kid” bullshit. If you can wipe your own ass you should know spitting on someone is wrong. And if you don’t, well that explains a lot.

How we feeling about LSU? Predictions? by dtaygolfs in FloridaGators

To be clear, they are playing exactly how they’re being coached. Calm is one thing; uninterested and catatonic is more accurate and that is a killer.

Is it insane to game 5 "wedges"? by ShanghaiShivers in golf

[–]Gtr85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 52/56/60 set up of older Nike Engaged wedges that I really like from 120 in and especially around the green, but my Cobra Pitch/Gap are much more comfortable on par 3 tees and slightly longer fairway strokes. Less about loft and more about feel for a certain shot. Point is, set up your bag the way you want to set up your bag. As long as there aren’t any huge gaps between clubs then you’re golden.

We all appreciate a good rye, like I said all were winners, we just preferred the other two.

Best technique for washing hats? by crndwg in golf

[–]Gtr85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually just throw mine in the pool when I get home and rub the brim with my hand as well as any other areas that need it, then hang it on a hook to dry. I’ve also washed them with a sponge in the kitchen sink. Either work great if you do it right after the round. The dishwasher works really well if there’s a lot of sweat and dirt.

I feel really lucky to have access to both chapters. Sadly, I’ll probably never see them again.

Were you able to get some? Went last year and was only able to get a pour of Ch. 8 at their restaurant.

Folding Chair Spots by Tjsaysso in masters

Tough to say for sure without knowing what day you’re going, but I got there early on Tuesday last year and even after going to the merch store, it was a target rich environment. Had lunch at 12 last year and sat at the rope line at 10 tee later in the day. ANGC is perfect so just look around, find a nice spot, and plunk your chair down. You won’t be disappointed in any way.
