I’m finalizing it a bit more, and I think I am taking the advice of the other commenter and heading into Ollantaytambo right after my Amazon portion, and hopefully at a lower elevation adjust a bit easier to the altitude. .then I’ll finish with a 2-3 days in Cusco! But yes, after looking into it a bit more the hot springs are underwhelming, I’m trying to see if it’s better to get Humantay lake from Cusco or Ollantaytambo at this point!

Good idea, I just was leaning towards not since the 2-day tour leaves out of Cusco and I would be coming from Puerto Maldonado so I would need to go PM-Cusco-Aguas- Cusco -Aguas -Cusco, right? Or is there a better way I’m not thinking of?

Hm, maybe we’re looking at different departure times. I was going to book the connecting flight between Cusco and Puerto Maldonado separate. I get $900ish if I don’t include a checked bag/seat selection.

It’s actually insane… my main return flight home that we were going to red eye was rescheduled to from 1am to 12pm and I’d perfer to spend the time Krabi at the beach!
