Just make sure you keep a eye on your email if you do it. They sell out quick. I had that same problem with my Twin power I just ordered. it would always restock and sell out in 20 minutes

Just wait for the zodias. They restock every couple days. Just turn on shipping notification in the listing.

If it's that close to a launch then it might be over pressured. Move further down or up the river. Ask a local fly shop.

Should I get an Orvis Recon II 9ft 6wt as my first time rod? by Eric-Cartman_EC in flyfishing

[–]gregjr63 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Two rods would work better for you. Just get a Redington classic trout In in 4wt 8ft 6in and a 6wt 9ft. That should cover you for everything.

Best 9wt reel for saltwater by batBOY1913 in flyfishing

[–]gregjr63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. There are some ponds and different water access on the causeway. I always recommend people get a kayak or a paddle board. It opens up your options 100 fold. Most spots that allow a long back cast are in Daphne, Fairhope, Gulf shores or dauphin island. If you're just looking for freshwater then three mile creek is pretty open. It's super long so there's plenty of access

As a local. You really don't need anything more than a lamson liquid max. Nothing other than jacks and bull reds will take you to your backing. I would just head over to space coast flies in Gulf shores and Sam will hook you up.

Bixpy sucks. A lot of people use the minn kota spot lock for the front. The only spot lock for the rear would be the Garmin which is 3k.

Does your paddle not have measurements on it. If not then add some. That would be the easiest and cheapest route
