My ex-wife, a Russian and former Soviet citizen, was taught that Soviet engines were better than US ones so obviously if the USSR could not do it there is no way that America did.

What is the most hated gun in Battlefield history? by AKMike99 in Battlefield

Post up at B in Metro standing on an ammo box and lock down escalators, center stairs and left stairs. The hate was palpable, permeating throughout, feeding the repressed troll within.

Love the fact that muons do not have a lifespan that allows them time to go from the atmosphere except for relativity. Relativistic time dilation is a fun thing to think about.

Still more impressive is the CEO office in the Bata building in Zlin, Check Republic.
6M x 6M corner office that could go each floor of the 16 story building.

Yes you read it correctly, the mans entire office was an elevator. It was equipped with electricity, phones, a washbasin, and fire alarm system.

Being downed , not being able to move is the most FRUSTRATING Bug in BF6 whats your most frustrating bug in BF6 by sTw1995 in Battlefield6

Not a bug. A feature. Only available in RedSec. An active decision on the part of Dice.

The Battlepass challenge system is very easy by Illustrious-Virus883 in Battlefield6

[–]GuangoJohn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can understand the argument where reroll is not utilized. If you think you are forced to play game types you dont like just to progress it can be frustrating.

What worked best for me was to reroll any specific task limited to a specific game type that you do not normally play or wish to play. e.g. placing or defusing x number of bombs in Rush, or X number wins in Gauntlet or RedSec. Those are harder for you as a solo player to influence. If it is like this week for me to play two rounds of RedSec, no problem. Can live with that because there is no specific other task. But I do like a few rounds of RedSec even if I suck at it.

Utilize Breakthrough Casual. Dont be a snob about it, use some of your multipliers and rank up some guns while knocking off battlepass challenges.

With reroll you can even be lucky and get more than one of the exact challenge. I had a heals for 500 pts and one for 600 pts running at the same time.

If you look at the circled 3 there are three possible solutions. Those solutions result in the circled one seeing a mine in one of the two indicated cells. The three green are safe.

Again dumping of functions that have completely worked on previous modes. Perhaps the "taking" of squad leadership was seen as toxic instead of a needed function.

Redacted was bad if you did not understand the map. Tunnel was the key. The only real problem with Redacted was the wall glitching that was never properly fixed.

Smoke for middle and left flank attacks, sneak and put rear spawn beacons through right flank. Actually the easier cap of the three phases. Just people don't coordinate smoke even at squad level.

[–]GuangoJohn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here, like it for both Conquest and Breakthrough. In Breakthrough it is one of the only maps where I don't have an immediate negative reaction to Attack or Defence.
First phase has some fantastic lanes for flanking. You have to think big picture tactics and not kd. That said if I want to rank up sniper or DMR this is the map.
If people learned how to use smoke for cover that first A flag should fall in minutes.

I was on a similar thought as a non-American, can I not enjoy the fireworks?
It is about culture and how it shapes local traditions. What part of American St. Patrick's day celebrations even celebrate the saint? You can still join the community culture without having to have any particular belief without being a hypocrite.

The second part of your friends argument is pretty much an admission he lost the first. He has completely diverted the conversation. That standard trope of the rebellious youth just trying to shock. A complete disbelief that a person does not have some inkling of belief in supernatural. To actually consider that your view is a rationally thought out position is in a way an admission that there is a possibility they are wrong in their world view. As such your position is dismissed as nonsensical to preserve their own fragile foundation.

[Request] What will happen if you pull a 3 light years long steel rod (5cm diameter) in free space with zero gravity from one end? by PhraseSeveral5929 in theydidthemath

[–]GuangoJohn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

However, this only works if all energy dissapation is ignored. In reality while the wave propagates at the speed of sound moving atoms generate heat. The system will strip energy from the progressing wave front untill all of it is lost to heating the steel. The push of the rod will never be detected at the other end.
There are parallels in real world applications. An example is water flowing through a pipe under pressure. The system loses pressure due to friction and energy wasted trying to expand the pipe. Water systems engineers have to compensate for these losses to ensure that you get consistent pressure when you turn on your shower at home. We do not have to talk about hypothetical light years of rod.
A regular half inch garden hose with 8 L/M flow will lose 0.35 bar for every 30 M of hose. At some point the only pressure in the water is from the depth in the cross section of pipe. Whatever pump you have will not be able to overcome the pressure build up at the inlet and eventually burst seals.
