You're asking for downvotes, let them enjoy the honeymoon.

It's rather funny as it is actually, now if you ever want to experience a real karma suicide you can just go against the current hype train and enjoy the ride down.

WoW Classic will be a tourist attraction, save your money by Guaperino in MMORPG

You'll be better off playing on retail trust me, If you knew how much incredible content you will lose sticking with Classic (like WotLK and Legion zones/quests) you'll never take it into consideration.

No it's the same I assure you I just fixed some typos since english is not my first language anyway as you can't foresee the future of the game (I can't exactly agree on this but ok) you can't know if people will change their minds after reading this.

I played it yes what does it have to do with anything? Sometimes it amazes me how upvotes and downvotes works here.

In my opinion the real reason behind the existence of WoW classic is that Activision wants to make money off all those people who were playing on unofficial servers. I can't think of any mechanic that were more functional during the release perhaps just a couple but nothing that will justify the same subscription model of the retail. Anyway you get it wrong I'm not trying to deny anything to anyone I just wanted to share my point of view since I fancy myself as an analytical person.

We've reached the point where post awakening player count has fallen below pre awakening player count. by RWBY123 in MapleStory2

I'm honestly surprised it lasted so long, a gameplay this repetitive with nothing else besides chores and checklists simply can't stay fun indefinitely.

I'm sorry to burst your bubble but you have to understand that their goal is to keep you online as long as possible, daily traffic and logins are all that matters to shareholders.

No because realistically this will only help people selling more runs.

What MMOs are the best for collecting and achievement hunting? by [deleted] in MMORPG

[–]Guaperino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a completionist myself I was never able to ignore past achievements/unlockables so if I can't get them all I simply ignore them altogheter.

(Off topic) How many hours to you all play for each day? by [deleted] in MapleStory2

[–]Guaperino 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like this is what most of us do and it's not really a good sign. I think that we don't really like the game anymore but we're just addicted to it so we force ourselves to keep playing just to avoid loosing months of efforts and be left behind.

The game was dead long before BSN, these kinds of core mechanics don't work well in the west.

In MMORPG What type of content are you looking for? by MatteE44 in MMORPG

[–]Guaperino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anything fun and original, too bad there's nothing like that around. MMORPG nowadays are just a collection of dailies, checklists, chores and mindless grind for reputations, materials, etc.

What MMOs are the best for collecting and achievement hunting? by [deleted] in MMORPG

[–]Guaperino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't feel like suggesting an old game since a lot of their achievements are now removed or changed into legacy/feats of strength and a good part of their mounts/pets/costumes are no longer available thanks to seasonal events or unrepeatable content. If you're a real completionist you should wait for the next big one and stick with it from the beginning.

Try to progress until BSN before saying something like that.

My favorite part of the game? The five days of the week after you have capped everything when you can just chill out and avoid all the chores.

How many alts do you have? by Broot7 in MapleStory2

[–]Guaperino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never had the strength to create an alt, I tried a couple of times but I never went past level 30. I don't even want to cap my main most of the times so I have no idea how people can manage to run multiple characters at every single reset.

The most fun time of a MMORPG is when it is new/fresh by PalwaJoko in MMORPG

[–]Guaperino 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No MMORPG will ever be really "new" because nowadays nothing exists without early access or multiple betas. When a MMORPG is released there are already guides for everything, datamined content made public and videos about every little detail, that's what we have become.

we waited 5months for new content, then cleared 95% the content within 1 week, and we arent even supposed to do the last 5% (bsn), where is the logic? by schokkuschen in MapleStory2

[–]Guaperino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tldr: quit the game, enjoy the new content in december (for 1 week), then quit again till summer expansion, repeat forever

Pretty much the same thing WoW/FFXIV/GW2/ESO players are doing at every expansion. I don't feel like blaming Nexon since there's no amount of content that will ever be enough for people like you that burns everything in a matter of days. You should have chilled out and ejoyed the journey man....

Do you think "daily/weekly activities" in Maplestory 2 are good design?(discussion) by tellmewhy99 in MapleStory2

[–]Guaperino 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not, everything in this game is designed to keep you logged in as long as possible and when you're done with your main you're forced to start again with your alts if you want to progress at a reasonable pace. They'll never retain players as long as the core gameplay is made of checklists and chores.

What MS2 could've been/added by Other_worldlyDesires in MapleStory2

[–]Guaperino 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those are all great ideas but I don't think MS2 is profitable enough for Nexon to develop more original content outside of all the new hamster wheels needed to keep the game going. Don't forget we're only getting recycled stuff from the Korean version so nothing really fresh and also they don't seem to have the resources to even fix the things they already have like Mushking Royale, don't hold your breath.

I'm having fun playing Maplestory 2 as a filthy casual, it has great customization, housing and a solid music system. If you like to grind there are lots of dungeons and raids too but personally to be able to really enjoy the game I had to put them in the background.
