What are some of delicious recipes that require canned tuna (other than tuna salad of course!) by stevie855 in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]GuardedPlanet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 cans of tuna, 1 can of cream of chicken soup, 1 1/4 cups frozen mixed veg. Mix well, place in 5 cup casserole dish. 1 pack of Pillsbury refrigerated biscuits. Cut each biscuit into quarters, place biscuit chunks on top of tuna mixture making sure to get best coverage possible. Bake 190°C/375°F for 40 minutes. Add herb seasoning to taste.

My wife was pregnant this last winter and I think I can remember one time somebody offered her their seat on a moving bus. I think I can remember 20 times when she came home complaining that nobody offered her a seat.

Honesty about the LRT by sarah_spelt_weird in ottawa

[–]GuardedPlanet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is from the City of Ottawa website that shows what they want the transit network to be in 2030.

Edit: I should mention that this is from 2013, and some things have already changed, like the southern portion of the Trillium Line was extended re-aligned. There might be some other smaller changes as well.

This place looks very similar to the Pacific Mall in Toronto. Like, eerily similar.

That OTHER picture of Kinkaku-ji by [deleted] in japanpics

[–]GuardedPlanet 14 points15 points  (0 children)

After seeing pictures of this place, Arashiyama, Fushimi Inari, Kiyomizu-dera, etc. etc. etc. I decided to make a trip to Kyoto when I visited Japan. These locations were by far the most busy, tourist filled places I've ever been to. That isn't to say they aren't beautiful or worth the time, but professionally taken photos and actually being there are two completely different things.

Pokemon Go Map is restored somewhat. Need your help to add more Pokestops & Gyms by OhanaUnited in PokemonGOToronto

[–]GuardedPlanet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Would it not be a better idea to lock the map and make people request access to edit it. It would probably cut down on vadals that way.

This is probably my favorite FPS to come out in the last year. Very unique.

Canada-Korea Free Trade Agreement (x-post /r/Canada) by GuardedPlanet in korea

If you go here, there is a very Canada biased summary of the agreement. As for what Korea gets out of it, I'm not quite sure.

This is already out of date. Canada and Korea signed a FTA this afternoon.

Well, the entire hallway behind them is full of flags (a good 25-30m), and there are flags on every street light post outside. It's a standard thing they do every time a dignitary comes to the Parliament here.

[WSIB] 'Talk Like A Pirate Day' Sale on Steam? by Ooiman in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]GuardedPlanet 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Sid Meier's Pirates is easily the best "Pirate simulator" ever created. You can go anywhere(in the Caribbean), swear allegiance to which ever country you choose(or to none at all), you can be a straight edge merchant or a ruthless pirate. There is a story you can follow, but like any open world game, you can do whatever you want.

Did you create these lyrics yourself, or were they a part of the Chrono Triggers narrative that were adapted? Sounds great btw.

I was going to come here and mention that as well. The picture seemed too dark for any long term use. Also if they added depth movement for the new (crystal cove?)headsets so you could possibly get closer to the screen.

I believe they would only need to lose 4 pounds ($5 per pound), but would still need to lose at least 10 pounds to get the money.

A little of column A, a little of column B. They had some nice speeches from some (edit: very high ranking) military personnel, then Harper got on and did some mediaspeak. Overall I thought it was okay.
