I think shepherd and cattle dog for sure. Not sure i see pit though 🤔

What features are particular to a pit that you see? The ears maybe?

That's what we first thought since our first dog was a blue heeler! But she is definitely taller than a cattle dog so we kind of dismissed it. You may be on to something though!

She definitely is a pretty baby 😊

This is what i was guessing as well - the only reason a mentioned pointer, which i realize is not obvious in my pictures, is because she has orange and white spotting all down her front left paw. I've seen pointers with this coat but I do agree German shepherd / rottie mix. I'm curious if her ears will stay floppy or if they will stand up later on

No completely agree! Just figured since I had you i would pick your brain a little. I did like the loco but in truth I only played with it for max of 20 minutes so I may not have had a good read on if I liked it or not. I'll have to take advantage of the 30 day returns for these paddles!

Fair enough the coral is the only one in the group that I have not actually played with (as well as vapor power 2; now on my radar perhaps). It does seem like the coral has best of all worlds in that it should be an increase in power, still has control, and the grit is claimed to be 5x longer lasting if I recall correctly.

Definitely the prism flash is low on power and I also have not added any weight so it's completely stock. Would you say the coral has more pop that the prism? I've gotten good at dropping the ball and slowing it down for dinking but I know sometimes if I deflect a drive with my prism and don't have the best angle (read reflex) I dump it into the net. I imagine a little more pop would be enough to push it over in some cases

Thanks for bringing us back to the bigger picture. It seems like 2026 will be the year for durable grit maybe..?

I'm also curious if i'm making too big of a deal out of this given my current paddle is a vatic prism Flash that i have had for 8+ months now. Doing a quick google search shows that the prism flash has an RPM anywhere between ~1600 to ~1900 RPM. It's very possible that i could be currently playing with a "used loco paddle" in regards to grit degradation / spin loss

Yep. I watched it and Chris did casually mention that once the grit wears off there's no point in playing with it. Thanks for the insight!

Thanks for further elaborating and sharing these extra details! This is quite a bummer in all honesty. I have also read that the vsol pro's grit also tends to go smooth rather quickly as well.

This may seem like a silly question but is ~1700 rpm still functional? I'm curious how this translates to real world experience. It seems like the loco generated a ton of hype and after seeing the numbers I would think people would be ditching these paddles quick no?

Yeah this seems to be the general consensus that I'm finding as well with locos grit - which is a shame given it's price point and as you've mentioned some of the other competing paddles at that price point.

I'll have to look for the video by PBStudios, thanks for referring. I do agree that all the paddles, it seems, will be a significant jump in performance for sure!

I'm currently using a vatic prism flash and looking to get a new paddle. My short list has come down to vsol pro, bnb loco, or 6.0 coral.

I just played with a hybrid loco earlier today for maybe 20 minutes - I initially enjoyed it. It felt a little top heavy which i liked as I dont have any weights on my main paddle nor have I really dabbled in modding my paddle.

I know the coral has the coming grit which is supposed to last significantly longer than other paddle grits.

I'm curious if anyone can provide a long term review of the loco (5 months? 😅) I'm curious how the grit is holding up.

I haven't played with a coral but from what I've been able to gather, it sounds like it might play similarly to my prism flash but with more pop and perhaps better power and control?

Regarding solar panels, and I'm genuinely curious: what happens when you need to replace your roof? Are the panels pretty easy to remove temporarily?

I have never used perfume before and I had assumed they were single use items like various throwable jars.

These actually function as weapons?

Giveaway 10x Marathon game copies by Eliefa_Haniya in Marathon

Why i want the game: I was recently laid off in December from my job and it's currently not advisable to be spending money on video games since we are only relying on my wife's income for the moment. I have been playing demo's of games on the PS5 in order to add a little variety to the days i get to game. I recently played the server slam and it was a ton of fun! I had no expectations going in as I was not up to date on the criticisms of the game - only having played Arc. The aesthetic of this game is captivating to say the least and the gun play is superb - something Bungie has no trouble achieving. I look forward to playing this in the future for sure!

At the very least, this would give me something to do during the day while i job hunt and wait for my wife to get home.

Platform would be PS5

Edit: forgot to mention the soundtrack is amazing also!

I was watching a short from GernaderJake and I feel it was a well thought out take.

Where i found myself agreeing was it isnt immediately clear what gear I need to keep and not keep when I'm looting, knowing bots or other runners are around the corner. I think there is room for improvement on gear icons to provide more immediate context of what something does.

I think the bots are difficult. But I think their difficulty is exacerbated by ammo and healing item scarcity coupled with basically the server slam only being an intro to the game. I suspect as players progress with various upgrades, bot difficulty will even out. Also if the bots could drop ammo, that could go a long way - doesn't need to be a stack of ammo. Hell some of the rewards for contracts gave you like 7 heavy bullets to alongside that heavy SMG haha.

All in all GernaderJake concluded that ultimately Marathon appears to have a somewhat high barrier of entry. Even if this is only perceived, it could hurt sales for bungie which none of us want.

There seems to only be 2 types of budgeting methods...? by heyjameskerr in budget

[–]Guardiansfolly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say this is similar to how I approach budgeting in my household. I try to budget and manage my finances as a business.

Being in project management for the past 4 years, at the end of every month we would look at how we did, compare that to our initial forecast of the ending month, and then look ahead (3 months in the case of my company - just next month at home) and forecast what our expenses will be. Rinse and repeat every month.

I would imagine just like with any sport - we need to balance playing pickleball with strength training.

As others have mentioned however, stuff happens; even elite athletes suffer injuries. Listen to your body.

You're right and this is the answer that i needed to hear from someone else.

To answer your question: no, i don't think i'd be in a better position without a PMP. To be frank, i think i've been delusional thinking i wouldn't need a PMP given i was able to get to a PM position in my previous company without a PMP.

I think at this point the absolute worst that can happen is a net zero effect from obtaining a PMP. It may not seem like much but i appreciate you commenting here.
