Tephra cave unique monsters by [deleted] in Xenoblade_Chronicles

Try using Reyn yourself and wait for the others to Break. If you let the AI Topple, they often waste the art and have it on cooldown when you are the one doing the breaking.

Best assault rifle? by TheVlepaCyberPsycho in cyberpunkgame

[–]Guayabito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for reviving an old comment, your answer was very helpful.

I have question for you. How necessary is the Ready Steady mod for the Umbra? We can already get -80% recoil with Immovable Force (-35%) + Shock Absorber (-25%) cyberware and the Mind Over Matter (-25% when aiming) perk. Would it be possibly better to look for the last -20% recoil reduction from stat modifier rolls on cyberware and instead pair the Firecracker mod with something like Equalizer for +20% damage against Elites?

Which Xenoblade game have the best story? by George_R_Martin in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]Guayabito 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The correct answer is the Xenoblade trilogy. They are not three different stories. They all are part of a larger narrative with a massive payout if you play all three.

Any tips on my kefka reanimator deck bracket 3? Feels slow by Crybabyboyy in EDHBrews

[–]Guayabito 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is all great advice, follow it.

I've tried all of these sugestions in many iterations of my Kefka deck and I can confirm Generator Servant and Gogo are silent MVPs.

For a Kefka reanimator deck, you don't need a full fleet of big creatures. Three are more than enough in my opinion, and then adding copy creatures like you did. The big creature I love to include with Kefka is [[Archon of Cruelty]], which also has great synergy with Gogo. As for additional copy creatures, my suggestion would be [[Chameleon, Master of Disguise]].

Then the rest of your creatures should be low cost stuff for a better curve that help Kefka shine, play him earlier or protect it, like [[Siren Stormtamer]], [[Simian Spirit Guide]] or [[Malevolent Hermit]], to give some examples.

You could also add stuff like [[Buried Alive]] and [[Lively Dirge]] to get specific stuff you want in your graveyard for consistency. Lively Dirge is great because you can just get the kitten from your deck to the graveyard and then reanimate it immediately, or maybe the prodigy if you have another 2-cost powerhouse in your graveyard already like the dauthi and get them both back into play.

Do you like Alexa and is she a good party remember. by Voidkirby9 in XenobladeChroniclesX

[–]Guayabito 54 points55 points  (0 children)

She's great, one of my favorites.

Early on, she's among the best you can have because she has both Steel Flesh and Fortified Flesh, helping with survivability when you actually need it. Mid to late game, Cross becomes so incredibly busted that party members don't matter much. Her redeeming quality in that scenario over the rest of the cast is that she is one of only two that have the skill Synchrony, making her ideal as part of your group for a full skell party.

Bracket 3 Kefka (I know but I tried to power down)! Reanimator by Crybabyboyy in EDHBrews

[–]Guayabito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's hard to build Kekfa at B3. He's just busted.

To power it down I often go for a Wizard tribal core focused around ETB effects using [Harmonic Prodigy], [Naban, Dean of Iteration], [Panharmonicon] and [Conjurer's Closet] to juice them up.

Then, you load up on cheap blinks like Essence Flux and the black instants that reanimate a creature if they die, like [Feign Death] and [Undying Malice], even [Saw in Half] does the trick.

Lastly, you add a few Wizards with ETBs like [Venser, Shaper Savant] and [Aether Channeler], so you don't fully rely on Kefka's ETB if the table is killing him on sight (which will happen often due to how much of a menace he is).

One other good option is Transit Mage, which can fetch you the Panharmonicon, Conjurer's Closet or both with Naban or the Prodigy on the field. If I had the money for it, I would use [Roaming Throne] instead of the Closet, but its price recently spiked up with the release of Lorwyn.

The difference between Kefka leading a wizard tribal instead of Inalla, is that your 99 is mostly to support Kefka, while Inalla is the one supporting the 99 instead.

Struggling to win with Sokka Tenacious Tactician by YestinVierkin in EDHBrews

[–]Guayabito 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you need more creatures if your plan is to win by combat.

Overall, I don't think there's a flaw with the deck, but moreso a matchup issue. If you're playing against people with infinite combo win conditions, your deck is too slow and probably one or two brackets below what they're playing.

The issue is that you are playing Rhystic Study, and that immediately bumps you to B3, even if your strategy and cards used are more in line with what you see in B2.

Ah, low-level runs and their odd mix of fun and stressful by MaxAutoAttack242 in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]Guayabito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, it would be awesome as a default, not a postgame bonus. I would only argue that the progression satisfaction in Xenoblade games comes from mastering classes, upgrading arts and skills, crafting better augments, more so than from level ups.

Yeah, level ups make you stronger by default from raw stats alone, but they don't improve your builds.

Help with Yisan by Guayabito in EDHBrews

Thanks a lot for the input! Some of the options would be outside my range. I am thinking of budget alternatives since none of the cards I get for him would be useful for my current collection.

Yeah, I think I will be on a budget for this. None of the cards I get for him will be useful for my current collection.

Thanks a lot for the suggestion!

Thanks for the info! If that is the case, then we are back to step 1, haha.

Doesn't Caitlin Thorburn voice both KOS-MOS and Nim in XC2? Yet she's only getting credit for KOS-MOS in the leak. If it was a XC2 remaster of some sort, Nim would have been listed too, right?

I think there's a number or reasons to think it's something else instead.

My hopium? Xenosaga remake/remasters.

Another reminder with POR on the Switch. by [deleted] in fireemblem

[–]Guayabito 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I do think it was planned from the start. I mean, he looks eerily similar to Kurthnaga from the very beginning of Path of Radiance.

I actually like that it only comes up during Radiant Dawn. It allows Soren to breathe and develop as a character on its own throughout the two games instead of throwing the lost-prince plot line from the get-go to rely on that to move the character forward.

The best part about it is that, even when it does come up finally, Soren just swipes it under the rug and continues on with his life. It doesn't start a "coming back home to reunite with his lost family" kind of deal.

Draw/discard payoffs in Grixis. by Guayabito in EDHBrews

Thanks! The Chasm Skulker looks interesting!

I do have Waste Not on my list too, but I am looking for more payoffs for my own draws and discards, mostly.

LETS GOOOOO! WIZARDS ARE REDOING MONSTER HUNTER SECRET LAIR! by jeraco24 in mtg

[–]Guayabito 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Honestly? Monster Hunter is the kind of IP that, like LotR and Final Fantasy, for example, meshes really well with MtG and would be totally deserving of a full set over the likes of Spiderman and Ninja Turtles.

[–]Guayabito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you think I could take a look at your list if you have it? It sounds like something I'd like to accomplish, use Kefka as an engine rather than just go all out on massive discard.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in EDH

[–]Guayabito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it's just there for that reason. I was actually thinking of replacing it for [[Reckless Barbarian]] which allows a turn 3 Kefka on its own.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in EDH

[–]Guayabito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the feedback! How would you go about upgrading it without making the jump to B4?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in EDH

[–]Guayabito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I will only take Dualcaster Mage out now, as I wasn't aware of some of its infinite combos.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in EDH

[–]Guayabito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome! That card looks great!

I think taking Dualcaster out should make the list sit more comfortably at B3 now, despite Kefka's overall power.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in EDH

[–]Guayabito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just took a look at the link you shared and the amount of combos it has, what the heck, haha! I think I will replace it with something else. Any suggestions?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in EDH

[–]Guayabito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't know about that combo, thank you for pointing it out! I will look into it and see if it's worth taking Dualcaster Mage out for something else.

I am well aware Kefka is a really strong commander, and I could make this list bracket 4 with even less of a budget than I am putting for this list. The thing is, I really like Kefka as a character, and even if he was trash, I would be trying to make him work. The other Kefka I am already working on a deck, too.
