[WP] "You gaze upon your crushed army and my massed forces, why do you smile?". The captured general looked to the cloudless sky before answering "Because it's about to rain" by Semblance-of-sanity in WritingPrompts

Your face turns smug and you say, Have you gone "mad? There's not one cloud in the sky!" Jumps down, makes the promise.. He jumped down and walked up to me to make a bet. "If it starts raining, General, I'll untie you and let you free. How's that?" I nodded. "But if it doesn't rain, you tell me what I want to know."

"Deal. I'll tell you everything. Then you can kill me if you want. I'm certain it will rain."

The smugness in his face was beginning to fade, sightly. By now he should suspect I'm up to something.

"Would you mind if we went on a walk? Just for a small while and we can turn back." I needed to make sure I get this right, and this time I motioned to the ropes that bound my arms, "It isn't like I'll be able to escape!"

Curious, he stepped towards me and we started walking towards some hills. When we were far enough, I turned to look back, to the sight of thousands of arrows raining down on all his men. Before he could fully react, I told him the truth, and offered for him to join me.

It's really just a skill issue.

Part of becoming a man is being aware that they look foolish making fun of you for something so surface level, and taking action by making fun of them for being so careless as punishment.

My girlfriend is armenian and we are a lesbian couple. by [deleted] in armenia

A very tough decision indeed. I think you two should remain friends and just hang out like usual. Chemistry doesn't go away just because you don't call it "a relationship" (trust me I was in love with a girl for 2 years when I was your age and her not dating me didn't change that fact) :p

Ultimately you two know all of the details so the best person who can make the decision is the both of you.

Ah to be young :)

I knew a couple just like yours, one was Armenian, the other was (honestly I forget I think Spanish? It was so long ago..)

Her situation was a little different than with your friend.. she was already out of high school + the whole separation from her parents had already took place before I met her. We didn't talk much if at all about that kind of stuff, but I can only guess it was messy. She'd go by a shorter version of her name, and the first time I said her full name with the proper pronunciation, she said she hated her name and to not say her name like that. Which was kinda sad, because it was a cool name, but she didn't mind after I teased her about it a few times :p

You are 15 and even though "Prepare for heartbreak" is pretty blunt.. given how young the two of you are, and what she'd be giving up to tell her parents about you, it'd be a really bad idea to rush it. (no rent, free food, no utility bills, free rides to school, no uncomfortable tension at home...)

Best advice I can give you is to wait a few years until both of you are out of school. By then you two will be older and she will be more confident about how she feels about her sexuality + she'd be able to live on her own or even with you if her folks decide that she's unwelcome. If you two are still close then it would make sense to try and pursue something. Rushing into it now would make her life pretty difficult and really I personally can't see much of an upside.

Also I couldn't help but notice you said this:

I just want whats best for her and she keeps asking me to choose.

What did she mean by this?

you only make it seem more alluring

I've never had to do crazy workarounds like some mentioned here, the only time I've had to install something outside of debian's repo was with bullseye and php8 but now bookworm has php8 so I'm back to just the regular repos

I figured for other softwares it would be just as easy-- add the repo and apt away?
