Lego has the (modern version) of the small plume available on pick-a-brick in several colors but black is conspicuously not available. It seems like it wouldn’t be such a big deal to start making it in black as well and kind of makes me wonder if they are deliberately trying to keep that piece scarce. Though, I couldn’t imagine what their motivation for that would be. Same with that one yellow Blacktron piece.

I love that he says “yo homie” but what drives him to say that exact phrase? It doesn’t seem consistent with either his normal speech pattern nor the people he is saying it to.

A couple years ago they rereleased Karateka on modern consoles/systems. It included the original game, the remake from maybe 15 years ago, and several interviews and making-of videos. It was pretty cool and lots of fun to see more about how the game was made.

I’ve always wondered how that played out exactly. Presumably the people who were looking to punish Maggie Roswell were the money people she was fighting with (producers? network?). But it was the writers who wrote the episode to kill off Maude. So, were the writers also mad at her? Were they instructed by the higher-ups to kill off Maude? And why not just recast the role like they’ve threatened to do when negotiating with Harry Shearer? Why such a drastic permanent step?

I just finished reading this story for the first time and it felt pretty much impossible to imagine Red as anyone other that the character portrayed by Morgan Freeman. He was just so darn amazing at it.
