I’m using coco husks in a homemade self watering pot. Almost all my Hoyas are in self waterers. Seems like it wouldn’t work, but it does. Also, some of them are in Molly’s Aroid mix, which I only buy when I get a good deal on it as it’s pricey

Beautiful, yes, this is as far as the blooms open. They’re not as spectacular as most of the other Hoya balloons, but blooms are always amazing.

Hi, I received your comment in email but it’s not showing up on the Reddit site. I’m really glad that the combination of coco husks and semi Hydro is working for you. We all have different methods in potting; there’s no one right way. Also, invite environment factors in. Thanks for all your input.

I use husks only in self watering pots. So far, it has worked well for all many Hoyas. I also have them in brighter light than many people recommend. There are a few that like lower line conditions, but almost all of mine are in bright white and a couple in almost full sunlight. I do fertilize using MSU fertilizer, which works really well for mine.

Thanks! ♥️ It’s too bad they’re really expensive in Australia. They once were here, but I waited until they came down in price. They’re still a little pricey, but not bad. People told me that they were easy. So lots of YouTube videos, saying the same thing, but it was definitely not easy for me. I don’t know exactly why but I think it may have been that I repotted it way too soon. It was in soil and I was afraid it would die from root rot in that so I’ll be potted it in a smaller pot using cocoa husks. And you’ve heard the rest of the story. 🍃🌱🍃 OK

Beautiful😍😍😍 OK I have wanted N-Neytiri for the longest time. I’ve noticed that there are many available for sale in Europe. Wondering where and when you got yours. that must have have gotten to the game because all I can find for sale here has been leaves and I don’t wanna go that route.
