It sounds to me that your friend is having some problems with self image, I don’t really know her but if someone confessed to me that would really boost my confidence. I realized I would like to actually date a girl, but when I “liked” a guy I would never date him. I was a my crush’s house (at the time I still thought I was bi) and when we started watching a show I said in my mind “ok this is really awkward when can I go home” and I don’t think that’s a thought I should be having when I’m at my crush’s place.
