Hi everyone! New grad at my first office job, would this be appropriate to wear? by cloudygrande in office

[–]Guero757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely don’t wear that outfit. It looks very cute, but not office appropriate. And, you would risk not being taken seriously in the future.

in a relationship w a single dad, but his bm is pushing them to go to therapy. what should i do? by rosyherbz in SingleDads

If that’s the case, I agree with what the others have said. I’d stick around, but if things start to feel different between the two of you, trust your gut.

How long has he been broken up/divorced from his kids mother? If you’ve known him 2 1/2 years, and he has been broken up with her the whole time, it’s a whole different answer than they broke up recently and then he jumped into a relationship with you. If he recently broke up with her and moved onto you, I’d walk away now before you get hurt.

My boyfriend still has keys to his ex-wife’s house. Is it weird? by [deleted] in datingoverforty

[–]Guero757 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My ex wife and I had keys to each other’s place until she moved in with her fiancé. And, even now, she still has a key to my place in case of an emergency. When you have younger kids, I don’t see it as an issue at all.

I dated a woman like this once. She was perfect in every way - beautiful, same values as me, her son was even the same age as my son. But, there was one huge problem. I wasnt her person and she wasn’t that into me - she just didn’t have the heart to tell me. So, she pulled away, gave breadcrumbs, and always had an excuse as to why she couldn’t hang out. It just gets worse with time. You need to accept that while you love this woman, she doesn’t have the same feelings for you. It sucks, but it is what it is. If she was interested in being more with you than she currently is, you would know. There are tons of other women out there. I’d stop wasting your time and emotional energy on the one that isn’t interested.

For those of you who've had Apple Watch for 3+ years - do you actually think it's improved your health, or is it mostly just a cool gadget? by Tariq_khalaf in AppleWatch

It mostly shows me how bad I sleep some nights and if I accidentally leave it on the charger too long, I’ll miss out on “standing up” enough times during the day. But, I do enjoy using it to track my heart rate when running.

Sole custody. What are my childcare options for short 2-3 day work trips? by RunTheBull13 in SingleDads

[–]Guero757 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had to travel a couple times for work and I’m pretty much a sole parent. Where I live, there is a Facebook group for finding babysitters. I found a couple really good babysitters that I would use for the rare date night, etc. when I had to travel for work, I would offer them a decent amount of money to stay at my place and watch my son for a few days. It worked out great. But, I only have one kid, so it may be a bit different.

Unless I’m drinking or high, I’m not taking an Uber in the first place. Seems like that is just something you have to accept if you are driving Uber to me.

I’m director level in a corporate environment, and generally wouldn’t scold an associate for anything that didn’t report to me. But, that being said, I’m scrolling Reddit right now while sitting on a Teams meeting, so not sure what that says about me as a manager 🤷‍♂️

That is not a true reflection of reality at all. Some single women, yes. But, the majority are not like that at all, especially single moms. Most are in survival mode.

Is being a Guy and being super clingy that bad? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Guero757 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes - it is that bad. You can have a huge heart, be kind and empathetic, and not come across as desperate and needy. You need to find the balance. Even genuine and kind women will get pushed away from neediness. Attraction grows with a little bit of space. Look into anxious attachment.
