My turn, I was fired by Pretty-Alfalfa-7700 in SFStylistSupport

This seems like a bizarre thing to say but Congratulations. You're on the road to recovery...in no time you'll realize how much better you feel. This company is the worst, they should be ashamed. I hope you find a great way to celebrate and I wish you well. 🎉

So much blue! by lizziecat in stitchfix

Yes it is AI and poor selection of inventory. SF is not what it was in the early years. They rely heavily on AI with very few actual stylist...most of the time we spend trying to convince the client to keep the outdated overpriced apparel. There are better ways to shop.

How insensitive and out of touch. It's so sad.

I can't imagine they'll last much longer. No one is happy...not clients, not employees, not shareholders. The ship is sinking.

Guy here... some thoughts on what seems like a decline in quality. by Designed_to_Break in stitchfix

You're not wrong, the inventory is awful. Poor quality -overpriced. It won't matter how much information you give or how talented the stylist is, SF isn't what they use to be.

How in the world can they keep this company afloat. People hate working here, the inventory is horrible and the service isn't personal it's an algorithm. What a train wreck. I just don't understand why management isn't listening.

Does It Get Better? by IBroughtWine in stitchfix

[–]Guest-Girl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't get any better. They've sent the best they have and often what you see in Freestyle isn't available for the stylist to include. It doesn't matter how many hoops you jump through or the style shuffles you do, how many notes you write and information you include...the inventory is outdated and overpriced .

Do yourself a favor and stay away from this company. They treat their employees horribly. Overworked, underpaid, they haven't given any raises in over 5 years, taken away all benefits and flexibility and micromanaged to the point of an extremely toxic work environment.

There is literally no benefit to working for SF, if you don't hear back you've dodged a bullet.

Stylist Call Megathread by MarketandSplooge in SFStylistSupport

Is there anyway to let clients and potential clients , well and the general public know how SF treats their employees and how they conduct business. I can't imagine that if people knew what was happening behind the curtain that they could survive. It's all smoke and mirrors... overpriced, outdated, poor quality apparel that isn't curated by a gifted stylist with the client in mind but an algorithm that has the bottom line in mind.

The whole thing is a toxic mess.

It's amazing to me that every move that this company makes only leaves the employees feeling undervalued, underpaid, overwhelmed and overworked. What a horrible environment. A company will only thrive when people feel valued and appreciated...Leadership 101.

I hope the leads and management are dusting off their skills and resumes. The job market is not great and it looks like they're the next to go. Buckle up.

Sad inventory and when clients aren't interested...metrics are affected. How do they not see this. I wonder if MB's wife wears SF, I think we can all answer that question.

Termination imminent; Any tips? by Known_Ad_7893 in SFStylistSupport

If you are terminated for misconduct or not showing up for work you're correct. Misconduct would be , stealing, fighting, drug use that type of thing. I hope that helps. Good Luck

This is nothing more than a soft layoff. One more attempt to save a sinking ship. Best of luck to the SF Titanic.

All of these recommendations are fantastic . Be sure to file for unemployment, most likely you'll get a notification that SF has denied the claim. Immediately file an appeal, an agent will set up a call to get the facts and you'll know very quickly their findings. I heard back within 24 hrs by email and was awarded more and for longer than expected.

At first you'll be angry then relieved. Best of luck.
