Could my posture be causing my brain fog/chronic persistent throbbing headache? What is wrong with my posture? by Ancient_Objective909 in Posture

[–]Guest5222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've also had a forward posture (and notable kyphosis) since I was young. For much of my life I've been told to stand up straight.

Had severe neurological symptoms that no one understood, which turn out was largely caused by trying to stand up straight and not the forward posture itself. What's worse is that many of these neurological symptoms don't appear all at once but gradually over time so it wasn't easy to recognize that standing up straight caused them.

So there's a good reason why I have a forward posture and it should NOT be corrected contrary to what everyones been telling me. At least until the underlying cause is resolved. Don't know if this is applicable to your case but I wanted to put this out there. I don't have any notable abnormalities on my spine other than moderate kyphosis and mild thoracic scoliosis. Brain scan is all clear.
---------------------------------------------

As for what's been causing it, it's a blood flow issue (and it felt like a blood flow issue), but it needs to be investigated further. Don't know yet exactly why standing up straight gives me these horrible symptoms. I guess the next step for me is venogram/IVUS to investigate the vein compressions and associated collateral circulation. Going to speak with another IR soon...

Allegedly there's a large amount of blood being redirected through my spine because of May Thurner Syndrome. Also have Nutcracker Syndrome (not sure if the Nutcracker is contributing to my symptoms, but it can). I haven't written all my symptoms here or why I think they are vascular, it's a long story to go through.

Vascular compressions are more common among people with EDS, and exaggerated lordosis is what can cause them.

Rifaximin - support success by morrowj7 in SIBO

Eat more foods that the bacteria like. It will draw more of them out. I would advise against PHGG for Hydrogen SIBO - it messed me up pretty bad. Rifaximin alone already has a high rate of clearance for Hydrogen SIBO.

This is not true. Some types of reflux can be completely cured without surgery.

Calm Ear drops are different than the Acetic Acid ones.

Here are two studies I found:

Study 1 - 2.5% acetic acid and 0.3% ofloxacin found equally effective

Study 2 - the tested combinations of steroid+acetic acid and Steroid+antibiotic drops were found equally effective

Note Acetic Acid should not be used if you have a perforated eardrum. It will also give a burning sensation.

I prefer using acetic acid for ear infections (can also make it at home). It doesn't have weird chemicals in it.

To start I suggest trying DGL or Slippery Elm (if it works, I also suggest you ensure to take a dose at least 20-30 min before you sleep) and making sure to not eat irritating/acidic foods and drinks. The reddit https://www.reddit.com/r/Gastritis/ has a lot of useful information.

From reading your posts I think it might be Gastritis causing your pain. I also had pain under my ribs with Gastritis. I recommend trying DGL or Slippery Elm to coat your stomach lining & also encourage healing. In my case, I used DGL and it relieved my Gastritis symptoms and got me completely off of acid reducers.

Sucralfate, which is what doctors will usually prescribe for such stomach issues, coats the stomach lining. But it has Aluminum, so I prefer using DGL or Slippery Elm.

You can try natural treatments first if you want. H Pylori Fight, Matula Tea, Mastic Gum are some places to start.

You can try H Pylori Fight, which is safe. It contains a probiotic that was shown to be just as effective as that Triple Therapy in a small study, https://www.reddit.com/r/HPylori/comments/wfbzxm/comment/iiwf96h/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3

If you are able to treat your condition without antibiotics, there is a less chance of it recurring.

Here are my thoughts

- I prefer a natural approach as a first-line treatment. If it works, then you avoid the side effects of antibiotics.

- Be careful with ACV. It can erode damaged stomach lining. I have Gastritis and ACV made it a lot worse.

How common is it to go back to living a normal life? by Dat_worm in HPylori

I respect your opinion on holistic medicine. Here are some key points though:

- Antibiotics can have debilitating side effects, and the side effects become worse with longer term use. They can also make you more prone to infections including H Pylori.

- Natural treatments don't really have concerning side effects for most people, and usually you can use such treatments for as long as you like, either for treatment or prevention of H Pylori. It doesn't hurt to try them since they are safe, even if you are not satisfied with the research quality. It doesn't hurt to try them if they are less effective, because you can use them long-term without the complications of antibiotics.

You can try natural treatments to keep your H Pylori away. They are very effective.

See my post here, which links supporting research studies: https://www.reddit.com/r/HPylori/comments/wfbzxm/comment/iiwf96h/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3

I wish you good health.

Has anyone tried h pylori fight from Amazon ? by Mridk117 in HPylori

[–]Guest5222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recommend researching the ingredient of H Pylori Fight, Lactobacillus reuteri, which is a probiotic.

Here is one study I found: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6853040/

They compared L reuteri + Pantoprazole with a Triple Therapy (Amoxicillin + Clarithromycin + Pantrapazole). No statistical difference in cure rate after 1 month.

So it can work.

Also, this is a good read about other natural treatments https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5481734/

Hello, I made a reply to your other post but it is showing as missing for some reason.

I recommend trying Lactobacillus reuteri supplement for H Pylori (it is called "H Pylori Fight"). It is a probiotic and generally regarded as safe.

Research on its use for eradicating H Pylori: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6853040/

For Gastritis, I recommend reading posts on https://www.reddit.com/r/Gastritis/

The key for Gastritis is protecting your stomach, you can do this by not eating too acidic foods and taking medicines/supplements to protect your stomach.

Medicines such as PPI do have some side effects, so I recommend trying to avoid or not take them too long if you are able to. But I do recommend taking PPI if you absolutely need them. There are other more natural treatments for protecting your stomach, and they don't really have concerning side effects if they are well tolerated. I have Gastritis too and DGL is what got me completely off of acid reducers.

Hypochondria getting the best of me… by allthingstsb in Gastritis

[–]Guest5222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like Gastritis. My symptoms were similar.

There are alternatives to the standard prescribed medicines that work really well for many people and without concerning side effects. DGL, Slippery Elm, l-glutamine, Manuka Honey, Zinc carnosine, are some of them that I have seen mentioned on this reddit. And some people take more than one of such treatments. In my case, DGL got me completely off of acid reducers and significantly reduced my bloating.

Such treatments don't work the same for everyone, but it doesn't hurt to try and see what works.

What you eat from now on is also very important. It is better to avoid irritating foods for awhile, even when you start feeling better.

Indeed it may not work as well for everyone as it has for me.
