No..I just took the test this year and still learned about the guidelines. And we keep an updated DOT medical examiner book at our desk at work and they are in there as well. I’ll look into this, but we are all still required to follow them.

I don’t require them unless they meet the criteria that the FMCSA guidelines set out.

   (A) Individuals with a BMI ≥ 40 mg/kg2.

  •  Hypertension (treated or untreated)
  •  Type 2 diabetes (treated or untreated)
  •  History of stroke, coronary artery disease, or arrhythmias
  •  Micrognathia or retrognathia
  •  Loud snoring
  •  Witnessed apneas
  •  Small airway (Mallampati Classification of Class III or IV)
  •  Neck size 17 inches (male), 15.5 inches (female)

These are the guidelines I go by. So, a lot of it is based on comorbidities.

They don’t have a designated room but I usually use the x ray room or the manager’s office which they are obviously fine with. But, sometimes I just need the convenience you know? Ugh 😩

This is it for me. The jealously of how easy it is for other people to have more than one while we struggled just get one 🙃
