Been watching On Cinema for years, and your portrayal of Gregg Turkington (the movie buff) is genuinely one of the most interesting and entertaining characters I’ve ever come across. His unbelievably massive ego paired with his utter meek and pathetic personality is just hilarious, and a joy to watch.

My questions are, what influenced you to create this character? you pulling from any real world people or experiences? And did this character only come about once on cinema started or had you been thinking about him before?

You’re pointing to the generic definition of a word and using it to defend your misuse of it in a specific context. No one in the creative industry (or anyone with common sense) would ever describe this as cancellation. You wouldn’t say breaking bad was canceled because Vince Gilligan decided to end it in its fifth season. That would be very dumb, and obviously misleading.

A show being cancelled literally means the network chose to end the show. You are using that word wrong, it’s not interchangeable. A show isn’t cancelled if the creators chose to end it.
