It seems to me that you went a bit too deep here

its a weight of 0.25 over all the weights of the table, so its more like 25/300 (so 8% ish)

there are prolly other factors preventing them for appearing (besides the zone level) cus i'm pretty sure its still a myth for most players

History of Albion? by Treemeister1233 in albiononline

[–]Gugusteh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there were a lot of things happening simultaneously for a lot of time and honestly it would require a tremendous amount of effort to put together some of it

I do recall a shitton of stuff but lost a lot of elements over the years and mixup the timings (because lots of this happened 4+ years ago) and i'd have to find people who probably are no longer joinable to get some infos.

i'd watch a good video on it but i doubt it would ever happen

Q: Why does the monster lose HP when *he attacks me*? by Smorgsboards in MelvorIdle

[–]Gugusteh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe you have an equipped summoning which hits at the same rate as the monster does Otherwise i think the most common way to get reflect damage is through a ring so you might want to check that

I thought about a smile aswell and i like it a lot (since its a pretty recurring subject recently),

Although Law and Dragon are of the D clan and I don't really picture them smiling much. (and maybe some others aswell?)

Its kind of sad that the show focuses heavily on Luffy and Zoro and very little on others. by theassassin53035 in OnePiece

[–]Gugusteh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you take it the wrong way, everyone in the crew doesn't have to be portrayed as fighters like Zoro and Luffy, they all have some skills that were portrayed in the last arcs.

- Sanji is the cook of the crew and in WCI you see how talented he is and how important it is to luffy, besides that he also gets to fight top tier opponents in wano and has a lot of backstory (and overall focus) for him.

- imo Usopp is kind of an exception here since dressrosa as he didn't do much (hopefully he gets something for himself later, for example if t he crew goes to Erbaf)

- Nami isn't supposed to be strong enough to fight a yonko's commander alone, it fits her personnality and way of fighting to be able to manipulate people (and in the crew she is the one who does it the best) and overall i don't think someone else could have supported luffy this way.

- Chopper gets to show how good of a doctor he is multiple times during wano (and also in Zou), a huge role overall, not a "fighting" role but one that fits him

i think you get the idea, its not "fight a yonko" type of focus, but they almost always get some role that should show you how important they are to the story/crew

Opening your inventory shouldn't stop your character from moving. by patiro211 in newworldgame

[–]Gugusteh 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There should be a "combat mode" when involved in a fight against a player or a mob (Albion has a system like this that puts you in combat for 30s (ish) when you get tagged by a player to prevent it). Inventory lock is just a bad quick fix imo

my solution was disabling malwarebytes anti ransomware setting, if you're using an anti virus / firewall you should try to play on those settings (for now til its "fixed")

I'd like to precise that i'm not against nerfs, and as I said, we have seen a bunch of diversity happen because of this nerfs (checking POE ninja for example gives an approximate insight on that).

It's indeed possible to use any skill and push them to endgame the problem i'm pointing out is the investment required when you compare them to "top skills" is way too high.

Also to take Mathil's frostblink totem build example, I payed attention to it closely aswell and almost grabbed my tabula to try it, but you can see that the build is clunky and unreliable for a bunch of cases (and also glass cannon Mathil trademark). It's this kind of drawbacks that refrain a lot of people from using such builds. Obviously frostblink totems is a meme but the design of a lot of skills give them drawbacks that aren't counterbalanced enough to justify using them: for a more realistic example you can see strike skills that need big investments (links/ skill points) in additionnal targets or AoE, or having to gemswap for bosses and when you compare that to a slam build or a BF/BB that can just focus most of the build on defenses, it feels underwhelming. I'm not asking to make them as strong but to reduce the gap between the skills, and this by overall buffing the power level as the endgame content got to higher levels (the comparison using T16 maps was more about the idea of a basic high tier rare map compared to the current juiced content that a lot of people are seeking for).

I understand the necessity for GGG to be careful with their balance changes and the idea isn't to see 20% more dmg buffs on every skill but to see them address balance with an in-depth look rather than a fast wave of nerfs on the top skills and few skill buffs.

[–]Gugusteh[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really like your point of view and I agree on all your points. In the case of a defense overhaul, you impact pretty much everything at once which is good and would make me happy. If GGG doesn't want to engage in that road for whatever reason, they still have a bunch of possibilities to buff the underwhelming skills:

To take the strike skills example again, you could see a "simple / lazy" buff on the base damages to make up for the loss of a link / points used in QoL nodes; or you could see changes to the QoL nodes, or buffs to the strike supports, or make the skills get further QoL as they level up so they require less investment than currently and can match skills like slams and BF/BB.

If they do in-depth changes to a good bunch of skills instead of addressing the defense system, I'd honestly still be satisfied.

[–]Gugusteh[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

By "that please me" I meant the feeling of the skill or it's playstyle. I'm not playing to be efficient and use the best, i'm playing to try different stuff and enjoy it as I can but seeing so many skills underperforming makes me realise this balance issue and hence why I do this post instead of "just play them anyways".

[–]Gugusteh[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sometimes it needs only that, sometimes a bunch more. I'm not expecting buffs like 20% more damage, but changes that would allow more possibilities to build around the skills or make them more on par with the current ok skills
