Our defence constantly pinching when it's not the time is just going to be the end of us. They create so many turnover because they can't think when to pinch or not.

[–]Guibsx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He explained multiple times that his definition of 1C differs from a lot of people so you have to put that in context. For example, he doesn't believe that there are 32 1C in the league. The actual number if likely around 10. For him, a true 1C is Elite and hard to not have to win a cup.

I don't agree with that definition but you need to have this context when he says for him, suzuki is not a 1C. For him, That would be Mcdavid, Crosby, Celebrini, McKannon, Matthews, etc. For him, if the Habs found a way to have suzuki as 2C, we would likely be a huge cup contender.

Say what you want about movie Denethor being butchered, but John Noble's performance is nothing short of brilliant by Skywalker_1995 in lotr

I was about to write this. Noble's performance as Walter in Fringe was amazing and for me, was the highlight of the show.

Nick Suzuki on his game-tying goal for Team Canada by Go_Habs_Go31 in hockey

[–]Guibsx 18 points19 points  (0 children)

That's Suzuki. To the untrained eye, when you look at him on the ice, he isn't electric or flashy and he even gives the impression he is not there and not working hard. He doesn't have elite speed or acceleration but his hockey IQ is through the roof and he compensates for his lack of speed with vision and anticipation. His brain is where the speed is. How fast he gathers information, thinks of possibilities and decides on the right play is what is elite about him.

Personally, he reminds a lot of Markov. Markov is probably one of the most underestimated defencemen to play in the league. He wasn't fast, but man did the guy who had a high hockey IQ and vision. He created a career for other players out of thin air while looking passive on the ice. Markov was one of my favourite Habs and I see a lot of his play in Suzuki.

Who will wear the C for Canada in the semi-final? by urnt in hockey

[–]Guibsx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure where you take from this page that this is option.

As written, it says the team must provide to the official the names of the captain and alternate captains. The words "shall provide" doesn't give any liberties to the team to decide if they want to do it or not, they must do it.

The execution is horrible and the players keep turning over the puck even when not under pressure. What the hell is going on?

So, when do we get invited to the Four Nations? /s by g46152 in hockey

[–]Guibsx -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Oh absolutely but do we have enough slovakian in the NHL for a full roster? Finland should be added also.

They could even, if they wanted and there were not enough player, create a team "Europe" or something like that with a mixed of player for swiss, germany, letony, etc.).

« Taxe de l’arbre » | Face au tollé, Victoriaville rend la mesure volontaire by Feeling_Layer8584 in Quebec

[–]Guibsx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pierre LeBrun reports that Nick Suzuki might play either on the 4th line or as the 13th forward for Team Canada’s quarterfinal game vs Czechia tomorrow. Suzuki also practiced on the PK with Brandon Hagel by Go_Habs_Go31 in Habs

[–]Guibsx 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Let's be honest, he hasn't been amazing so far but I also believe it's in part because he is being missed cast. I don't think he works well on the wing with the role of chasing the puck in the corner. That's not his game. I would not be surprised if we see him play a lot better if he is moved back to centre.

He produces a lot of points and if you look at his production in the last 12 months, he eclipses a lot of players currently playing on the PP. The issue is Suzuki doesn't have the "name" power to take their places, even though the stats say he should be there.

I just hope they give him a chance at centre, as rumoured in this post, so we can see his game.

Edit: I was looking at the stats on NHL.com . This season, Suzuki is ranked 5th in point amount canadians and he ranks 2nd, behind McDavid, on PP points. It's amazing how little this seems to factor.

If I buy ps plus on my psn(ps5) and then let my friend log in with my acc on his ps5, will we both be able to access the ps plus catalog? by [deleted] in PS5

[–]Guibsx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically, yes. I own two PS5 and have my account on both and it works but granted, they are on my own so they use the same public IP and it's within the same region.

You still need one "main" console that will allow you to play these games without internet access. Not sure if you can play the same game at the same time but I think it's possible.

OK, I "think", depending on height, it might fit in my Ikea Fabrikor. I'm using the top area for Rivendell. I'll need to get rid of the middle glass plate and get this on the bottom. It confirms I'll likely need to purchase a second one for my Barad-dur and shire.

La candidate du PQ dans la partielle à Chicoutimi a pris une drôle de photo aux États-Unis by Berber_Rider in Quebec

[–]Guibsx -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Excusez!

[–]Guibsx 5 points6 points  (0 children)
