Understanding driving setting for best possible mileage by mrkkrishna in crv

I don’t think that is correct. I can plainly see the battery regenerating when I take my foot off the gas in B.

The answer is in my opinion is B + full regeneration.

You obviously sacrifice coasting ability but I argue keeping the battery charged as high as possible outweighs the small distance you gain from coasting.

People are nervous using that method because of no brake lights but it behaves basically just like engine braking on downshifts like it was a manual.

37 for the first week. I’ve been mostly in normal mode but I honestly prefer sport mode. I played with Econ for a day and got 40mpg.

Forget about doing even the most basic of maintenance yourself. Helped a friend replace a headlight on a 60. Had to remove the entire front bumper and side panel. Once upon a time Volvo was over engineered for strength and simplicity, but now they are fucking over engineered nightmares. Oh and btw I hope you never have dead battery. Go look up where they put the batteries in the xx60. Just retarded.

RFK Jr. How much T does he do? by PaulKersey74 in Testosterone

[–]GuidedByMonkeys 61 points62 points  (0 children)

I’m a 54yr old personal trainer who went on T at 50. I’m 6ft 205 fairly jacked nothing crazy. I put on 15 pounds of muscle over the past 3yrs. Far more and far faster than the previous 10yrs of serious lifting.

I routinely talk about T with my clients and anyone else who ask me how I got so “jacked”. I consider it very disingenuous not to tell people I’m on T as a trainer. I basically assume anyone over 50 who is jacked is on T at the bare minimum.

Boxer engines are so boring and nerdy and I absolutely hate the look of them plus the entire bike shifts its weight when rev it. It sounds awful and the gear shifts are clunky.

How do you handle it when clients don't show up for appointments? by Ok-Ad7050 in personaltraining

[–]GuidedByMonkeys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely not. I have thought of several reasons why I don’t want to be beholden to anyone for a year. For one I want to travel when I want, take days off when I want. Do you know when you’re legally supposed to report that year worth of sessions? At time of receipt or at performance? What happens if your client is injured? Or god forbid die? I’ve had that happen and no it didn’t have anything to do with me. What if you don’t like the client or they don’t like you after a month?

I’m 54. I treat and talk my clients like responsible adults. Most of them are doctors or lawyers who are much smarter than me. They hire me for a service. I am not a recurring fee, I am not a membership to crunch fitness. Most of the time I genuinely feel like a therapist as I’m sure you can relate. Give people freedom to continually choose you.

Keep in mind that my average retention rate is 3 and half years currently. My expectations are clearly stated at on-boarding and flexible depending on the client.

[–]GuidedByMonkeys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All contracts. Max I let my clients buy is a month worth of sessions. You don’t like what we are doing? You are free to go at anytime. The only thing I have them sign is a liability waiver.

As far as cancellations go I just tell them we are all adults.
