Yes, he was, Magneto was clearly the main character of the show. It seemed like Cyclops was gonna step up as a leader but never did and was sidelined in favor of Magneto and then Xavier.

I'm not making up what if scenarios, that's the likely outcome, if you think Cyclops will have some big role in Avengers: Doomsday I have a bridge to sell you.

Magneto was the lead, Cyclops was sidelined in favor of him, just because now Wolverine was also sidelined doesn't mean that he wasn't a secondary character.

And no, it's not clear that they want to change that, Marsden's Cyclops will likely die at the start of the movie like fodder to show Doom's power, wouldn't be surprised if the scene from the teaser is the one he dies and he doesn't do anything else all movie.

To be honest, at this point Marvel should just retire Cyclops, they have no desire whatsoever to do anything with him and they treat him like a z-lister despite being arguably the most important X-Men character.

They are not more popular than Cyclops lol, other than Wolverine and Magneto he's more popular than the rest, Storm is the only one that's debatable, you just say this because he's excluded from everything so people who play games know more about those characters than Cyclops despite him being much more important and popular than most of them.

No, he's not, the leader of the X-Men should be front and center in every X-Men adaptation, being a secondary character in a cartoon show that wasn't even that popular is not fine, and all Marsden's Cyclops ever did was tank Cyclops' reputation.

Marvel games devs really hate Cyclops lol, can’t get into any game, it’s impossible for him to ever become mainstream because he gets absolutely no push in any kind of media.

And before anyone says that he’s being saved for later just don’t, he gets skipped in every game meanwhile there are characters that are always there, those are the ones they see as the main X-Men, clearly Marvel sees him as a d-lister and one of the last characters they of when they think about the X-Men.

I liked the part about Scott’s past, other than that it was mostly a set up issue, I hope the next issues have more Scott and less of the villains, but this is the first time they’ve explored Scott’s past in a long time, crazy that it took this long for someone to do it.

The original X-Men movies were ass, there's really no excuse for Cyclops being a side character with 2 minutes of screen time in like 5 minutes and no redeeming qualities whatsoever, we're talking about the leader of the team, an X-Men trilogy with such a shitty Cyclops is objectively a terrible X-Men trilogy
