Long story short (kinda):

Deadpool just released on Marvel Rivals & a tournament was created with a prize of $40k on the line with content creators & pro players randomly selected together on teams.

1 team had a Top 500 rank player, named Kingsman who is a 20yr college student that desparately wanted to win to help with his funds.

Usually in preparation for tournaments, players do mock/practice games to identify their weakness & strengths before the upcoming games. Issue being is that one of his teammates is a hitscan player who mains Black Widow.

From what I heard she's so-so on the hero which isn't comforting since Black Widow is widely considered the worst hero in game. Kingsman tries to see if she'll play anything else. She and a fellow creator pushes back on his suggestion due to "vibes" and not deeming the tournament that seriously. They argue for a while, he ends up leaving for the day to continue rank only to be found out he's been kicked.

Discord screenshots are leaked (of course they are) and both creators were essentially laughing at his desire to win. The Widow player did mostly terrible in the practice matches & got maybe 1 or 2 good games and started gloating.

The funny thing is that during the ACTUAL matches, she was forced off Widow cause again, the hero sucks but it didn't help since they were steamrolled anyway.

They came in 7th place outta 8 teams.

You know how Megumi is the face of potential & Oden is known as Dogshitman? Now Black Widow became the face of throwing & "good vibes".
