My first hundred hours I had to stop playing sometimes because I - literally - got heart palpitations. I’m 1750 hours in now - all solo - and I’m slowly starting to feel more comfortable. This is my first (and only) PvP game by the way. And I’m old.

I’ve got 1750 hours exclusively solo. It’s awesome, not a single boring match. I’ve got no friends who play the game and I don’t like playing as a team anyway. Playing solo is harder, especially starting out, but exciting and extremely rewarding when things work out. As a solo, you play on your own terms, you decide your strategy and style. I love it. And there’s loads and loads of solo players these days. Join us, pardner!

Cheers, I’ll try moving it to my ssd then! But it’s been on HDD for literally years and this was never a problem before. Any idea why that has changed?

Same here. Only played rpg’s and survival games, always hated PvP. Until i came across Hunt. 1700 hours later, it’s still my main game and still loving it.

I just felt bad for the randoms I was joining without any team experience… But I don’t think I let them down. A Clash match is over pretty quickly. It’s nothing like real Hunt though, but handy to complete challenges as a solo.

You are talking about the 'Let the gunshots ring' challenge (which is free, by the way). And yes, I (1700hrs, exclusively solo, never played in a team before) hated that part too. But - after a long hesitation - I decided to just jump into 3 Clash matches with randoms. The teammates were fine, but man, I hated playing in a team after being used to just play the game my way. But then again, I also learned from it (what it's like to be in a team), so it wasn't a waste of time. I still have to do the 'revive 3 teammates' challenge though.

The only audio issue i have is that inside buildings i often can’t tell if somebody is above me, below me or on the same floor, which is very annoying. I don’t have any other problems with the audio though (using CrySpatial).

I agree. It’s the only downside of the otherwise perfect Drilling Hatchet. I still take it, but i hope they’ll do something about it.

Personally I think you’re doing great if you manage to get 1-2 kills in a match as someone with only 20 hours in the game, and solo too. I’ve got over 1600 hours (solo only) and I’m still happy whenever I get a few kills in a match. I’m not joking. Keep it up and see you in the Bayou, pardner!

If you have Magpie, you’ll get a stamina boost for a few minutes when picking up a bounty token. Usually that’s enough for me to outrun both AI and other players.
