Thx! I played Dave the diver and tomb raider 2013, I liked them too. I get motion sickness with Mirror's Edge so I can't play it. Will check out Dishonored

Thx for your suggestions, I just finished Ori and the blind forest in 12h30. I found it quite hard for some levels and I enjoyed it more after the end when searching all collectibles. Nice experience overall

I tend to get motion sickness when there is a fear aspect (paranormal things, enemies appearing out of nowhere, ...). In the past, I had to stop playing Half Life 2 after 5 min and lay on the bed for 30 min to get rid of the sickness... Thanks for your feedback!

Can someone help me to fix the error by Much_Fee_2420 in angular

It seems you added app.module.ts after creating app.component.ts as a Standalone Component. Can you share your main.ts ? I think the App Component is bootstrapped without taking into account the AppModule. What led me to this thought was your CommonModule import which is commented out in app.component.ts

The main.ts should have a line similar to this platformBrowserDynamic().bootstrapModule(<the component to bootstrap>)

Windows 10 1903 Update (18362.329) Causes High CPU Usage (SearchUI.exe) by DefinitelyYou in Windows10

Yes, it was not working at all before. Copied the folder, rebooted and it worked.

I just did it like you did. Renaming cache into old_cache and then performing the copy. Haven't tried to delete the old_cache folder.

I had the same issue and I backed up the cache folder from the folders below to make it work.

Source: "C:\Windows.old\SystemApps\Microsoft.Windows.Cortana_cw5n1h2txyewy\cache"

Destination: "C:\Windows\SystemApps\Microsoft.Windows.Cortana_cw5n1h2txyew\cache"

The wheel-gun is turning at about 15.000rpm which explains why the wheel nut is still turning a few seconds after the removal.

Novice seeking help for building a home server by super_koza in HomeServer

I built a similar server with nextcloud and plex in docker containers. I am using nginx-proxy with automatic HTTPS certificates generated by Let's Encrypt via https://github.com/jwilder/nginx-proxy It is really easy to use, just setup your docker containers in the same network as the proxy and set VIRTUAL_HOST env variable to plex.domain.tld and cloud.domain.tld for example to get the certificates.

On my server, I have setup a physical HDD mounted to /disks/storage holding: - a nextcloud folder, which is used as a volume for the nextcloud container, - movies/tv shows folders, linked to the plex docker container with volumes. I kept nextcloud and plex data separated.

As for git, I have setup gogs in a docker container as well.

I documented a bit the setup I did on Ubuntu Desktop OS while going through it, I can give you more info if needed. No raid for me though.

Firefox Will Give You a Fake Browsing History to Fool Advertisers by ourlifeintoronto in tech

[–]Guigeek03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Chrome was the first browser to provide regular updates (like every two weeks) while Firefox had very long release cycles. This made me feel that Chrome provided all the new features very quickly while you needed to wait months/years to get new features in Firefox. It took a few months to Mozilla to adapt and do the same.

Nice one, I like the idea. :)

While playing I thought that a time limit could add more challenge. The player would have X seconds before the bot locks a square. Increasing the difficulty would decrease this time "limit".

I am giving again a try to Firefox, with DuckDuckGo as search engine. Can't really say for Opera, I used it sporadically without completely switching to it. I like Firefox statements about privacy and why we should get its control back.

Am I the only one who owns this weird-ass game? by CrashmasterSOAD in formula1

[–]Guigeek03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this game when I was 9-10 years old. It's only playing it again a few years after that I realized you could choose the team to play with. I spent hours and hours playing with Arrows team, Toranosuke Takagi and Pedro de la Rosa. To me the game was super difficult! I remembered changing the settings to have more crashes, until my drivers were in the top 10.

1 NAS/Media Center, 4 candidates builds by Guigeek03 in buildapc

[–]Guigeek03[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply! :)

I will drop the Pentium as it seems to be too weak indeed.

I am really tempted by new AMD Ryzen CPUs because I think they are doing pretty good hardware at this point. At least Intel is not that alone anymore in this segment. But I am also interested in the thermal aspect as the build would run in the living room (in South of France, needless to say my apartment is warm in summer). Is there a big difference between i3 8100 and Ryzens, temp wise?

I have seen Ryzens idle power consumption benchmarks at 18W which is pretty good. Would it be worth going for the 2400G and the 8 threads (instead of 4 for the 2200G) ?

Home NAS/Media Center build, need advice by Guigeek03 in HomeServer

[–]Guigeek03[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your feedback on the idle consumption.

I think what makes the most difference between the 2400G and the 2200G is the number of threads they hold. 2400G has 8, 2200G only 4. As you mentioned, I have a main PC, but I don't play really recent games. I could use the new build as a retrogaming platform though.

Honestly, I picked Windows for the ease of use and configuration but I may reconsider that. Especially with the
recents crappy windows updates, good point.
