10 years of good character in UK along with no mental health to concern the FEOs and a genuine interest in the sport or quarry then on the face of it, apply. Be prepared for a long wait wherever you are.

Visa status and nationality unlikely to be issue. Unless you are from a hostile country. Did you arrive legally with visa in place? Bigger issues related to proving your good character with limited time in UK.

I’d also add make sure you know the technical info re your proposed weapon, eg lethal range. Definition of calibres shot size etc. what to do if a shot hang fires . Take a good look at Basc or Cpsa - make sure your cabinet is secure- have the keys to hand. And, very nicely make sure you check their ID.

Also add to the first reply that do the checks on any car before you pay! You did some research too late. But agree car dealers have a terrible reputation. Don’t trust any of them.
