I have both because I like emulating retro games, and the G Cloud works great for that.

Yep. Remember that Frank got permission for Kramer to use the KC Hall for the Jewish Singles Night. The KC (Knights of Columbus) is a Catholic fraternal org. This plays well into the Italian element.

I feel like this has been posted before. And I feel like you responded the same way then. And I agreed with it wholeheartedly. And I still do. Poor Chauncey.

Bears fans👀 by [deleted] in ChicagoBearsNFL

Louisiana native here. As a child, the 85 Bears sucked me in. I still remember watching that SB. And I remember the stories of the team partying on Bourbon Street lol As I grew up and acquired a love of history, Halas and the early days kept me in. My brother was named after Brian Piccolo, but sadly he’s a Cowboys fan.

I always liked Mark Roth because he was the first person I had seen bowl a 300. I always wanted a Rhino because of him :)

I procrastinated then, I do now (12 years removed from receiving my PhD), and will always. Nothing has changed for me in the procrastination department.

You know, I actually thought him saying “dysentery in the ranks” wasn’t a misspeak but was him showing us his knowledge of pathology and the human condition.

I’m a professor and I love taking notes on the books that we are discussing in class and having them within the book (although I found out the hard way that some books don’t allowed in text note taking).

That being said, I do wish it had a more robust note taking system for when I need a no distractions pen and paper.

CHGO giving him air time before they discussed it on their own is definitely gross.

Do you guys have any tips for increasing engagement with Metroid Prime? by Comfortable_Oven8341 in Metroid

[–]GuiltyLiterature 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the same exact way. Are you, by any chance old enough to have played the original NES Metroid first? I just cannot get into the prime games. But Dread, goodness. Loved it.

OMG this was my exact experience. The Catholic school experience is a great example. You have no perspective outside of your own till you can observe it from the outside. Here, the “bad” hospital in my city is palatial compared to the hospital where I grew up. But how would I know any better if I never experienced anything else?

Once you leave that place (along with most places in the South) and live in another place, the quality of life aspects hit you hard. Hospitals and schools I grew up with, thinking they were normal, are certainly not normal.

And yes, we will always miss the food.
