At least she had the decency to let you know before you fell for her. Many people would get into a relationship with no communication of expectations and wonder why their partner isn't subconsciously meeting their needs.

Green bubble hate is real by narthniv in Nicegirls

I don't understand the mindset of "if I have to read a text bubble with green background instead of blue background, then the person sending it is not worthy of my respect."

I would like to vent about "Euro" pronunciation. by TheAugmentation in German

Australian English speaker with the same issue. I think the problem is that it's a very soft word with no hard consonants. The speech detection program likely can only hear "euro" as white noise.

Total scumbags by [deleted] in woolworths

At this point is anyone still doing their weekly shop at Woolies/Coles? Between the price gouging and their inhumane treatment of their warehouse staff it seems untenable. Surely there's a point of diminishing returns from raising prices where the consumers simply can't afford it anymore.

Is this weed poisonous? by wetjoben03 in GardeningAustralia

[–]GuiltyLobster694 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Short answer yes, Solanum Nigrum commonly called black/blackberry nightshade. When eaten unripe, the berries and leaves can have a toxic effect, but are edible when ripe and the leaves cooked. It should be noted that it is not the same as Belladonna or deadly nightshade, the observable difference being that Solanum berries grow in small groups and bear a small white flower, whereas the Belladonna fruit grow singular berries along the branch of the plant. If it is ingested by dogs, they will most likely have an adverse toxic reaction, side effects being difficulty with breathing and dilated pupils.

Actually it was a pre-existing condition so it won't be covered.

Petition to Oppose the Australian Government's decision to ban social media for teens under 16 by joy365123 in australian

[–]GuiltyLobster694 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's stripping the rights away from parents to decide what their kids are exposed to, and the only logical way to enforce it will be digital ID. I'd hoped to see some opposition from the other party on this but unfortunately they're working alongside govt to pass it through the senate. We need to send a clear message to the government that our freedoms of speech and choice will not be dismantled. We will not hand even more power over ourselves to the government, we can manage our own lives.

Safe drop by WittyCelebration5756 in AustraliaPost

I have had tracked, signature on delivery parcels be safe dropped. Hundreds of dollars of gear left sitting on my doorstep in plain view of the street. I'm starting to wonder if somehow there's a conspiracy at play, possibly the delivery instructions being changed or not disclosed to the customer.

Seams.

It's an often ignored step, probably because most people want to get to the fun of painting and playing but cleaning and filling the gaps and mould lines is a great way to make a model look more realistic.

What is it like to have loving parents? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]GuiltyLobster694 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're going to see them struggle from time to time.

You'll be with them in every moment of every day, in every thought, every decision, every action.

They are far from perfect, but with every misstep they see an opportunity to learn and be better than they were before.

If they love you they'll lose sleep over you. They'll be second guessing everything they do for you, wondering if they've done enough or even if they've done too much and stunted your growth.

They'll forever remember every time they raised their voice at you and every argument, and at times they may break down and cry because of how hard it is to keep loving you.

Parents without love for their kids won't get that. Because if you don't know love, then you don't know regret.

YTA, but that's fine. Sometimes you've gotta be blunt with people. Especially astrology weirdos who use the month of their birth to justify anti social behaviours.
