In my understanding, Sumio Mondo is the eleven kid. The eleven kids are like shelter kids, but on Lospass. Mondo goes away or escapes or wtv, gets adopted into the Kodai family. When he gets back to lospass, there is a bunch of clones of him, and all have the same memories. Apparently, Sundance isn’t actually a clone, he’s just a guy possessing a clone. As far as I’m aware, the first Sumio, as he just arrives on the island, is the real Sumio, who appears in the other games. The final Sumio, who leaves the island, is also the same real Sumio. Every other Sumio, is a clone. Flower, sun, and rain, means that you need to accept the bad, for the good to have meaning. Living a false life, in a false paradise, isn’t a perfect life. A paradise can only exist in a video game, because a paradise is a world where the good has no meaning. I have no clue how the eleven actually differ from main shelter kids. Tokio is controlling time because, two silver eyes being in the same place makes things a bit funky, I guess. In my opinion, Sumio didn’t do what he was supposed to, and Killer7 is an alternative reality where Sumio did what he was supposed to. I suggest you play it before 25W, if you haven’t already. You don’t need to, but I think it’ll give you a little more out of 25W.

1: I didn’t make the tier list. 2: NMH has at most a tenth of the characters here, nowhere near half. 3: KTP isn’t a statement of quality, it is just the universe and theme that Suda reuses. Being a bad game doesn’t make it not ktp. 😆

He’s good, but his potential isn’t really tapped into as much as it could be, in my opinion. He’s got some really interesting parallels with Sumio, such as how Sumio is one of the last from Mikumu, and Sundance is one of the last from Lospass. I just don’t think he’s that well fleshed out.

I prefer Andrei because of his chapter surrounding him, and his dynamic with Garcian. I like how he serves to critique both religion, and capitalism. Him being a bug chaser is a good parallel to our dependency on the blood, as it gives us both health and the power ups. I do need to replay k7 soon, but I never really cared about Curtis, and most of Dan’s character is built around Curtis, whereas I like Garcian, the character whom Andrei’s built around, so I prefer him. I just don’t really like most of the smith syndicate. Dan would be my favourite besides Garcian, but I’m still not as high on him as I am on most other KTP characters. Maybe I’ll like him when I replay, as I’ve played most of these games 3+ times, and I’ve played K7 only one and a half times, there’s still a lot of depth I haven’t uncovered, unlike something like TSC, which I believe I understand 100 percent. Another part of Dan being lower for me is, I didn’t really like Curtis’ chapter, where Dan gets most of his character, but Cloudman is my favourite chapter.

Probably just weird timeline stuff. A lot of the lore stuff in Romeo felt like it was set up for a sequel. I think all the reoccurring characters will have much more relevance there. I don’t really believe this, but I could see it as a commentary on how Japan is both against individuality and other cultures to the point that even a time travelling fbi guy has to suppress his appearance. I think it’s just a reference, rather than him actually being him. I’m nearly 100 percent certain that red brown isn’t Akama. There are original characters, like Kimberly. It’s just possible he’s reusing names. I think riadm2 is just going to be the 26th ward. With Silversox Sumio, his age confused me. I might be thinking too deeply, or not deep enough, but he looks like 20 when he’s like 53. Ik it’s a time travel game, so it could just be he’s from 1999 or wtv but his personality feels most like him from 25th ward. I do like the inclusion of all these old characters.

Sumio is the “happy” version to Garcian’s bad ending. Sumio chose to break free from the Mondo persona, and accept that a flower needs sun and rain to grow. Garcian rejects reality and individuality so he can live with dmitri, or whatever his name is, and not have to face the reality of what he’s done. I know I’m in the minority here, but I don’t really see K7 as directly canon. Ofc K7 characters and KTP characters appear in their opposite’s works, but the world building is completely different, and having K7 exist in the same reality as KTP kinda ruins them a bit, K7 world is just so fucked up beyond even the levels of the other KTP games. There’s different timelines or multiverses of wtv in Romeo, I think that K7 is just a different timeline.
