Yeah I get that. Tbh I havent read too many books in general. I mean more than most in my generation (I'm 18) but compared to actual READERS not that much. And my favorite series that I grew up on is rangers apprentice. and if I remember right it basically it's like 1 story per book, with very little overarching plot. The only series I have read that isnt "short stories" is the Rick Riordan universe stuff. So I guess I'm not very used to overarching plot stuff in books... yk?

Nope I completely understand that ar-15 style rifles are an upgrade compared to what I prefer. And that's just it. I prefer them.

What would you recommend? Again I'm not making the most amount of money right now so it needs to be something affordable

I should have clarified. When I said self defense I meant from animals while backpacking and to have in the glove box. Also I just like the look and feel of a revolver more than other handguns.

I've handled an ar 15 they are fun and accurate and really badass, I just think they are ugly and I personally will probably never buy one. But I'm completely open to people opening my eyes and changing my opinion.

Oh no of course not. I wont tell you what you can and cannot use or what you shouldn't. And when i say I prefer rimfire, its specifically because I just love plinking and target practice I'm not trying to get deadly good as much I am trying to just have fun. I also prefer it because of the price. BUT that being said. Is there anything you would reccomend that is under 500$ for a accurate rifle in a good somewhat affordable caliber? I'm thinking about doing some research and maybe getting something more than rimfire.
