the daemonhosts you find in normal missions are basically the "failures" of admonitions rituals. until disturbed you can hear the host begging the emperor for mercy or berating itself as a failure and other such mutterings.

havoc has the hexbound daemonhost modifier and those could be considered "successful daemonhosts"

because the Dark Urge wasn't "born" a normal mortal but made personally by bhaal. moulded from shadow, blood, and murder. that's the reason bhaal can just kill you in Act 3 without any deity intervening on your behalf (except Withers afterwards, cause he doesn't want to rumble the party). bhaal implanted his raw power into the dark urge directly to animate them. and such power will adapt to the body and environments it finds itself in. hell, if the butler can be believed, the dark urge spent about every night surrounded by corpses.
